| Folks I'd like some opinions on this pics I just took if you have a moment. 2 Photos at x200 one shows a fibre seemingly coming out of my face, the other a fibre possible under the skin. edit. 1 more showing a bundle on skin. I have plenty of pics of fibres - but my aim is to get them coming out of the skin. Much harder - probably a good thing as I have symptoms relatively under control at the moment (seperate post on that to follow soon). Does this chime with others who have used magnification. No major lesions for me, but itchy, contagious, folliculitis, and a whole lot of 'lint' wherever I hang around.. See what you think. Morgellons-Disease-Research - Ahopeful's Album: Suspect fibre in/under skin? .edit2. sorry - I posted this in the wrong forum, should be in pictures. :/ Last edited by Ahopeful; July 2nd, 2011 at 08:59 PM. |

| I have intermittently had problem areas with fibers looking like those. To easily extract, I use a cotton swab and soak it in tinctures I make. Easy recipes available. Or use strong booze, plain stuff, such as Everclear. It won't hurt your skin, smell bad and it helps extract. or use ethyl alohol but it smells bad. Quote:

| @jane doe - face and inner thigh. Their scale is absolutely not of the short and curlies or really visible without mag. The face one could be hair so... Dunno really. The bundle seemed fairly morgs like, but not sure. @meaganm - yeah I noticed the flatness. I'm trying really to get shots of fibres under or leaving the skin - its a mission to prove to myself I am not crazy, even though by doing this I almost by definition I become so . Been comparing with the pics in Savely's write up "Morgellons disease: Analysis of a populationwith clinically confirmed microscopic subcutaneous fibers of unknown etiology" you can see here: http://www.dovepress.com/getfile.php?fileID=6317 I think I need a better scope. Meagan your pics are nicely done. My issue with mounting is that once out of the skin it is too easy to dismiss by most. If the morgs fibre phenomenon is correct it should be possible, if you are patient enough, to film, or capture progression of a fibre out of skin over time, and I guess this is what i'm gonna aim for. On that topic, if we run with this fibre theory, what do people feel is rate of growth. My sense is it takes about a day for small fibres to appear, further - it always seems to be more so in the evening too. I know some have tried to culture them..
