You need to go up the chain of command, you need to talk about backed up sewage, you do not need to talk about morgellons. You do not need to talk about anything more than the condition of the flat, mold, fungus is a good topic if it is very obvious. Do yourself a favor do not get frantic. The more sane you act, the less you blow out the idea the farther you will get. If you act frantic their will be nobody that will help you as they will assume you are insane. Keep a even tone, you must try to sound like the queen, every time you talk with someone, ask their name, first and last name, put down the day date and time. When they try to dismiss you ask for the supervisor, Get his name now, ask them for the central office number, you may tell them if you have to your going to a barrister and the news, grab onto a good sounding topic, like contaminated living quarters for sick people. I have had the news cameras come before, they will come if you sound credable. If you go into morgellons si fi bull they will pack up and leave. Then again you may bring it to their attention if they actually do think your insane it is even a better story if the apartment is damp and growing mold and fungus. Woman that is ill made to live in filth by housing authority. You may want to repete that headline to the highest people you can contact, they do NOT want to read that with their name attached to it, their job will be at stake. Calm speaking makes you credable, frantic madness makes you an entry for a free room, a free room at the nut house.

Jane, do you know what you just said, she needs help. Dzana, you are not hearing me, you have to sound like you have athority over them, and in a quiet tone, you just say, I will work at this now untill I have you out of a job, you have given me resolve (repete their name back to them, so they know you are alert enough to repete their name) You have no idea one person can have if they reach the right ears, newspapers need news, polititians and public servents will be held accountable for the problems, bring that to their attention, say, I am talking with you now, you CAN handle this, if you will not I will go higher and to the news, do not become upset it works if you will work it. The question will always be, who is above you, the higher up you get, the more money they make and the less they want to be under a microscope, some of these people never even go into their office, they are really the ones that do not need attention.

Ok, let's talk about how housing in the UK works. Your landlord is responsible for the condition of your housing. It does not matter who your landlord is. It could be the Council or a Housing Authority,, or it could be a private landlord. If your housing has damp or mold or garbage or sewer problems, the landlord has to clean it up and fix it, or move you. NO landlord can refuse to correct these problems. This is the law. The problem with Council Housing or Housing Associations is that sometimes Environmental Health looks away from these types pf problems. You need someone from outside these agencies who has some authority to look at these problems and force the issue of moving you. NO landlord can refuse to accept your Housing Benefit or refuse to allow you access to Housing Benefit on the grounds of "mental health issues". That is discrimination and is against the law. If you get Housing Benefit, that money should be going into a bank account or a building account in your name. From it, you pay your landlord yourself. If you do not have a bank account or Building Society account, get one. If your Housing Benefit is being paid directly to your landlord, you do not have control of your Housing Benefit. You have control of your money if it is paid directly to you. I suggested this another time, but I think that you need to go and see the people at Shelter. These are people who will look at what is going on. If you have garbage, sewer, mold issues, they can make your landlord either fix these problems, or move you. The sooner you do this, the sooner your problems will get better. There is a shortage of housing in your area, so acting now is best. If you are being messed about by your landlord (no matter who it is), these people will see that your rights are enforced. It is probably not a good idea to talk about black specks or fibers..... or Morgellons, they will not know how to help with these things. But talking about mold, sewer problems, garbage and damp are things that they can and will act on, and will help you to get sorted, either by getting them fixed or by being moved. If your housing has problems with mold, damp, sewer, garbage, your landlord cannot refuse to do something about this --and Shelter has tools to see that your landlord is held responsible for these housing violations. My guess is that it would be cheaper for your landlord to move you than to fix these problems!! and your landlord will likely see this as cheaper too, and chose to move you rather than pay out to fix all these problems. Please go and talk to the people at Shelter. They are at 88 Old Street. You need to telephone and make an appointment to talk to someone first. You can find a local Shelter office here: Contact us - Shelter England Call them this week. You will probably have to wait for an appointment.... so don't delay. The longer you wait, the longer it will be before you can go and see them. When you go to Shelyter for your appoointment, take any papers you might need: housing benefit entitlement letters, DLA or Income Support papers, your lease (if you have one) or the copy of your last lease for where you live. Take copies of your Council Tax and utility bills, too -- Shelter will need to see proof of your address and any entitlements that you get. If you are not British, your passport, too. Also to take with you any letters from your landlord about these problems, and any letters you have written to them about these problems. If you do not have any letters to and from your landlord about these problems, NOW is the time to write one and get a reply in writing from them --that will be proof to show Shelter that your landlord is refusing to correct these violations of the Decent Housing Standards. Please come back and tell us when you have done these things, and how it progresses. I know first hand that Shelter is very good at helping people and protecting their housing rights. Dzana --you do have rights, and Shelter is there to see that your rights are protected!
