Question Iron Pellets - Unexplained Blood Loss

Hi everyone, I am reaching out for a friend that I met today. I am being treated for Morgellons, by a doctor who has studied this disease. I am going into remission now, and am networking with others that I can either support, or are interested in becoming more active outside the internet to raise public awareness. At my request, my doctor introduced me to one of his patients today, and I had a long discussion with him and his wife. He is having a really hard time, and probably a poster patient for this disease. On top of all of the other horrors most have experienced, he has other symptoms that I am hoping someone can help with. He described "iron balls" dropping out of his body. He said he can hear them ping when they drop. He is also anemic, and so far had four blood transfusions. He is losing blood, but the doctors have no idea where the blood loss is coming from. Could the Morgellons organism be eating his blood? I hate to even ask this question because the thought just turns my stomach. I am helping him and his wife as much as I can by passing on what I know, and providing him contacts of other alternate practitioners, but this blood thing is so bizzare. He also vomits a lot when he eats. He will be seeing a medicinal herbalist that I use soon, and is on antibiotics, and starting other skin remedies. He has been suffering for two years. Any thoughts, or suggestions are appreciated. My thought is that he needs to do a metal detox, but probably with a physician that can watch him closely, but what type of physician would do this? They don't have a lot of money though, so he may have to self treat. If anyone here had a similar experience, please respond back with your protocol. Best to all!

I haven't noticed anything like iron pellets but I have been experiencing the blood loss and weight loss. I bruise real easily and my blood vessels are busting in my fingers for no reason. I also had an extended menstrual cycle lasting almost a month. I am taking low dose antibiotics and was taking lots of ibuprofen for the pain. One doctor thought it was the antibiotics and the other thinks it's the ibuprofen and has taken me off it. I don't quite vomit when I eat but I get close. It feels like there is something in my throat always and things get stuck so it's hard for me to eat. I have lost 25 pounds in 2 months and have become anemic. I have been referred to a Gastrointerologist to have a swallowing test done and a scope. If your friend has insurance, I highly suggest this be done. It sounds awful what he's going through! I know it's not the same with me but I just wanted to say that I am having similar. He needs to see a Gastro and get things checked without mentioning M. Hope this helps.

Default Megan, side effect

Meagan

you might want to read this,

Ibuprofen Side Effects | Drugs.com

and note side effects can include

allergic reactions
rash
hives
itching
red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin

I'm not an expert on this but just the other day my cousin recently took the same OTC med for pain and immediately had very nasty skin eruptions. [As soon as the med was stopped the skin problems all cleared up. ] My cousin doesn't have M or fibers or any of the M problems at all. anyway I don't know what M skin problems you have, if any, but after reading about skin eruptions as a side effect I am thinking that generally M sufferers would want to avoid an increased risk of skin eruptions. (I wish the total solution to my skin problems were as simple as that...). sorry to hear of your continued discomfort. an expert TCM practitioner might be able to help you with acupuncture and herbs, as this lump sensation often due to a known TCM condition "liver-qi-syndrome" for which a competent TCM clinician should be able to do safe and effective treatment.

best regards,
Jean

Default anemia

Hi TheOtherMe,

a quick wiki search brings up

Hemolysis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I can only speculate....Your friend may be suffering from hemolysis, the same problem that malaria sufferers have when the pathogen causes the blood cells to rupture, then, that makes them anemic when the infection is severe enough. No one knows the root cause of M, but, if it involves anything that injures the red blood cell, anemia from hemolysis could result.

best regards,
Jean

ps,
I have to assume that you mean low hematocrit = low iron when you say anemic, not other kind such as vitamin-B12 anemia
.

Question blood loss and iron or metal pellets emerge from skin

Hi Meagan,
Thank you for your reply. i am so sorry you are having this experience, and I hope you get to the bottom of it. I learned from someone recently that a gastroenterologist in Boston is studying Morgellons patients. He is finding these black specks during endoscopy exams.I will try and get his name.

You were actually on my list of people I wanted to connect with. I really appreciate you last post regarding your recent lab study, and doctors interpretation. I am also on antibiotics. Can you share your previous blood tests you have had done so I can give my friend suggestions? For example, did you get tested for metal toxicity? aluminum, mercury, cadmium, also, barium, radiation, arsenic?

I read there are people on this board that debate chemtrails, and won't consider chem trails a factor, but several labs have detected those materials from chem trail fall out. Also found were psychotropic drugs by US senator - certainly makes me wonder. It is certainly possible that these poisons if not caused Morgellons disease, could have contributed to the breakdown of the immune system. In my area where I live it was discovered that for the last ten years nuclear waste has been leaching out of a plant into our water AND THE PUBLIC WAS NEVER NOTIFIED! The worst part is that it was on page 10 of the newspaper, and even still no one cared! Maybe it is the psychotropc drugs they are inhaling. I think anything is possible after this bizarre disease and my belief system is altered. What is up is down, and front is back. Take care.

Default blood loss, anemia,

Thank you Jean, I will pass on. Incidentally, my doc says in addition to Morgellons ugglies, I have a Malaria infection. When I went to him I was getting oval blood spots, and streaks with numbing. You explained that better, and now I understand why. Actually for me, I have had low iron, but have been very low on b12 as well and had to supplement to bring it back to normal. That was one of many chronic issues I had befor e Morgellons reared its ugly head through my skin this past December. I appreciate your alternative suggestions in previous post as well. I am using a medicinal herbalist who I believe is really helping, in addition to a DO who is using short wave probes on accu points in ear. What ever they are doing, plus antibiotics, and total life style change I am doing ok now. It is hard to see what people are going through. I feel so sad for everyone, and selfishly can't help to wonder will that happen to me next. One day at a time is all we can do I guess.

The doctor I'm seeing for Morgellons says I have a malaria like protozoan in my blood which is why I am on the antibiotics. After the article from Jean, malaria and the blood issues, maybe there is a connection. I have the fibers galore as well as swallowing issue, throat issues, skin cuts and bruising and the red streaks and indentations. This all started after taking Albenza. My doctor says that it opened some kind of pandora's box causing my immune system to go awry. He believes a lot of my symptoms now are related to that (his theory not mine yet unless his treatment helps). I have had many blood test except the heavy medals one which I plan to do next. Today I submitted a sample of my sputum. The only thing that showed in previous tests were low B12, low Iron, low D, high liver enzymes, and now this protozoa along with Bartonella. The test for the protozoa is a controversy here but it got me into the door for treatment with my insurance and away from the DOP diagnosis. That was more important to me than anything. I haven't been here that long but if you have any questions, you can PM me.

Thanks for the info on Ibuprofen Jean. I have stopped taking it and hope it helps with the bleeding. Tonight, I was rubbing my face with Vaseline and a huge mole that I've had since childhood, reduced in size and started to bleed... just from Vaseline!

Malaria is vector born and common for those military members serving overseas.

Jean, I have no idea how I contracted. I have been bitten by many ticks throughout my life, but other then through military as Megan stated, I believe Malaria is also passed through mosquitos, although not common in USA (so they say). My previous home backed up to a creek, and I did get bitten a lot.

Megan, everything you described about yourself was me this year which is why I wanted to connect with you. (cuts, tracks, scratches, s and cresent shaped hives, fibers of black, blue, red, green, white, hair color, bug parts, plastic parts, octagon pieces, sharp crystal parts, sand granules, white larvae, black larvea, fuzz balls in same colors, black specks, bites, stings, streaks, sticks, wiry pieces, OMG, I almost lost it. In fact I did lose it, but it passed thank God.

The drug you took that you believe sent you over the edge - what type of drug is it, or what was it used for? During the extreme itchy phase, 6 months before rash, I took fluconazole, and also tamiflue on separate occasions. Although, I do believe I have had Morgellons for a very long time (25 years), but they were subtle signs. It wasn't until my body had a total breakdown that I knew that those individual puzzle pieces were part of something bigger.

Prior to rash, I was also drinking a health shake that had cordyceps in it, and feel strongly from other posts that the cordyceps may have accelerated symptoms. It may have also detoxed this out of me in a big way with cordyceps. I wish I had the answer. I am not the type to investigate under a microscope, and wish I could give this shake mix for someone to use in cultures. I am fairly certain it will yield success.
