Default Lye soap

I bought a bar this morning at a hard ware store. I wasn't that familiar with it, but I had a few minutes to kill while the guy mixed my paint, and read that it is good for bug bites, ichy skin, ect. This particular brand hunters use to have no scent when hunting. So I have it on my arm now ( for about a half an hour).and the white stuff comes out, the black stuff comes out and the glitter.

Added some stuff here so you can read about lye soap.
The one I used has only..... food grade lard, lye and water.

What is Lye Soap?

Default The gift that keeps on giving

I have been checking my arm for over an hour now, remember I still have it on, the crap keeps on coming out.

I am going to give you the name of the soap I used, Grandma's lye soap
I bought it at Ace hard ware, but you can buy it on line. One other good thing
It's cheap.

lye will definatly kills stuff, including your skin if its soft. they washed all clothes/linens in jail with lye and it tears your skin up. but its a worst of two eveils thing. i guess if your skins tore up from morgs, then lye doesnt matter. but i always wanted my skin back, so id never use the hardcore stuff others try. im sooo glad i didnt. my skins almost back to normal. well, after all the yardwork ive been doing, im broke out a bit, but its manageable..

This is not hard core stuff it is actualy very gentle. This is not the soap that you are thinking about.

This is from grandma's. I just wanted you to see it.

Four Reasons Why You Should Use Our Pure Soap
No detergents or other additives to dry skin.
Natural glycerin is not removed
Economical. Lasts about a month
Itching of mosquito, tick and chigger bites.

In the past, folks made two kinds of lye soap at home; mild lye soap (like ours) with which to bathe, and a stronger version for laundry.

Lye is used in the making of all soaps. During the process of changing the oils into soap, called saponification, all of the lye is used up in the finished product. It is during the saponification process that natural glycerin is created. Most commercial soap manufacturers removed much of the glycerin from their products. Grandma's Lye Soap retains all of the natural glycerin. That is why our soap is pure soap and very good for your skin.

Cheaper soap is not better soap. Commercial soap manufacturers have found ways to reduce the cost of soap by adding detergents and other additives. While detergents are great cleaners, they remove the natural oils from the skin and may cause your skin to be dry and itchy.

Red, raw hands during the cold winter months can be caused by detergents in the soap you are using. Prevent detergent burned hands during the winter months by washing regularly with Grandma's Lye Soap.

I am the last one to use any thing crazy on my skin. I quit treating it all together when I was on the anti parasitic, except for in the shower with the different soaps. I can not take any more pain in my skin, or irritation.
