I have started on a new sulfa drug like the third day. and I can tell you I feel better than I have in quite awhile. Its hard on my stomach not saying it doesnt have its drawbacks but I dont have that horrible white pus in my eyes and nose as bad. so its prob a short run till I stop taking it. sammy

Sammy, you could ask your doctor or pharmacist if it's okay to take this drug with milk or food. Some drugs you can't do this as it may interfere with the absorption of the drugs, but for others it's perfectly okay. Good luck with this drug for long term good effects on your symptoms. Crossing fingers for you. You never know...it may be that it will be something which helps long term for you. I know acyclovir had a good long term effect for me with the viral lesions as the ones which dried up never returned.
