Default symptom question from Jean

Would like to know if most people with M problems here do, or do not have a worsening at night, vs daytime. When I have M problems they are always worse at night. the case definition paper mentions this but I wonder how many here experience this.

thanks in advance for reply.

In general, the eyelash crawliness and hair movement is in the evening, at home, but not always. I get it at work sometimes, too. The other symptoms don't seem to be so much limited to time of day, triggered more by heat and perspiration. The past couple of weeks I've been having bad evenings with the eyelashes and generall all-over scritchiness. Seasonal, maybe.

if its at night, then its in your bedroom. your mattresses should have alergy free, bug free covers on them.if you have wallpaper that is at least 10 years old, get rid of it and paint. wash your bed linens often. hot water..if its worse at night, then its in your bedroom.

With me, I thought about something in my bedroom/house but I stay home all day and the symptoms get worse around 6pm even in the same room I've been in all day. By the time I go to my bedroom, it's worse already. I thought maybe something I'm eating or doing differently at night?... but can't think of anything other than the few beers I used to drink but I stopped that lately and it hasn't helped. This is why I believe it might be parasite related because I think they are more active at night... not sure though. I have also noticed more activity around a full moon.... anyone else? Maybe hormone related? Are hormones produced more at night? Hmmmm....

First I agree with jane in most of that. The type of bug I had that got into my bed were columbla. They love to hide in sheets and pillows. They sense just like a flea and wait for your return. Its your left behind chemical signature on that part. Many bugs can sense chemicals like we do vision. Its a tracking way to find you.Fleas use the same method. I had them embedded as well in skin. For my wall paper I used generic oven cleaner. You should have seen the nicotine pour out and run down it. It foams. Generic is less harsh than Easy Off. Did not harm the paper at all. In fact shined it up some. That was five months ago and still looking good.
But your Question was about night time reactions. Heres mine.
I was always less bothered at night. Was really the only peace I got. In the earlier progression of this when I worked it lessened some. Preocupation of the bothersome itching and stings i,m sure. I do manual labor so body is always in motion then. Caused a distraction of it. When it later worsened it was just as bad at work as at home sitting and tv-ing the news. I know why I was less disturbed (mildly put) at night, I drank after 5pm. If I get high on booze and they are living on my bodily fluids then it will get high to. It sleeps, I sleep. I started a 30 day count down to taking my life it was so bad in the daytime. I got to day 10 and found something that brought relief. I stopped my countdown five days after that. That was over two years ago. I do not mean to say I was symptom free two years ago just decided if it can stay this good I can certianly live with it. I.ve only enjoyed symptom free since Oct of 2010 last year. Only seven months ago, what a relief of 7 its been to. I,ve been on this road for over three years.

MeganM I only use your quote to use as a guide while I remark on your post. It helps to keep my line of thought in order.
First I believe you. I believe all, that its worse at night. To right out answer your question "Maybe harmone related" yes. Harmones are produced at night even more so than in our teen years. Read this.
Human Hormones; Melatonin, Steroids and More
All the parasites I know of are also more active at night. Scabbies will even freeze and quit moving when lights get cut on. Fleas at night will jump away at light sources. Though they love heat. Look at a flea and it will jump away, mirror of light reflection ( light reflection from glossy eye) (your eye). Its a sense they use to know when something is looking.
Full moon, maybe? I only notice full moon when I use my telescope. At other times when I was itching I could not tell you when full moon phase was. I know I like dark moon,( New Moon) more of the less moon light washed out sky to see. But who knows bugs do what bugs have done for millions of years of evolution and I know of not one doctor who has lived that long. No doctor can tell a tree how to behave. Trees and bugs do what trees and bugs what to to do. Morgellons included. And all that Blah, take care MeganM and good wishes. And say hey to Gator sometime she loves good folks.
Thanks for bringing this up Jeanlong. And glad I could respond some.

I do believe now that I have some type of unwanted critter on my person. That could have something to do with the night thing.

Something interesting though... I recently bought a tea tree mint shampoo and conditioner after reading other people here using it. The last few nights, I have been applying the conditioner on my hands and arms. Within 2 minutes, I have the white long fibers pouring out of my fingers, hands, and arms. I literally watch them come out, pick them off with tweezers, and burn them. I do this for about a half hour every night before bed. My husband has seen this so it's definitely not my imagination.

I told my Mom about it and she wanted to see it. I went over to her house this afternoon anxious to show her what has been happening. I applied the conditioner and only one small fiber came out. Nothing like what happens at night. She believes me but it was frustrating. So, I can't figure out why it doesn't happen during the day but I do believe now that you are right Jimdoe. It's like they don't like light or something. It is interesting and a great question jean. Thanks for posting it.

Default 6 of 7 nights. filaments?

thx for replies all. so it looks like 6 of 7 of us here definitely notice a night time cycle when I include myself. anyone else who wants to let me know please do.

I have a lot of other questions about symptoms. Next question is about the filaments. How many people here with symptoms have used a magnifier and seen filaments (vs examining the itchy or painful spots and seeing no filaments with a magnifier)?

I have seen a parasite emerge from my skin. I am trying to figure out how to rid my whole system of all parasites. I hate these itching and and skin pain problems.
