Default Nurse on Oprah Talking about Morgellons?

I received an email today saying that Oprah had interviewed a nurse and the subject of morgellon's came up. The nurse apparently said that unless a person has lesions, they don't have morgellon's. That makes no sense; morgellons has to start somewhere and it doesn't make sense that lesions would be the initial symptom. There must be other, less noticeable symptoms first that aren't necessarily recognized. In any case, I emailed back to ask when the episode was - I got the impression from the email that it was recent, like in the past few days - and haven't yet heard back. Does anyone know about this interview, who the nurse was and what her connection to morgellon's is?

You're not missing anything; she's a self-promoter with the depth and integrity of a toadstool.

We have a tv at work and watch Oprah every day. I have never seen anyone mention "Morgellons" on her show.

I'll do a search...

Interesting, her show is almost over for this year. I dont watch it much any more get tired of her boring guests and her screaming. she is quite the self promotor so would have too be something in it for her. sammy

Boy, ya got that right, Sammy. Even her charity work is self-promotion.

I hope to hear back today about when the nurse was on; the info may have come from someone else altogether and been changed along the way.

I agree with you sojii, just because no lesions means it's not morgellons doesn't make sense. Don't get me wrong, would love to know I don't have morgellons, but as much as I have tried to prove that to myself, it has only proved that I do have it.
I am surprised at Oprah! I thought she was the divas of all divas. This brings her down a notch for me.

I agree to soji. In fact I had intense itching and stinging and floresence fibers and bugs then black specks, lesions were the last I got.

I'm agreeing with Soji too.

Here was someone posting on her comments board but no nurses.

Default Dr. from Mexico?

MeToo,
Thanks for the link. Sure would like to know who / where that doc from Mexico was. Wonder if he was licensed to practice in the US or not. Either way, it sounds like he might have had some prior knowledge / experience with morgellons, maybe in Mexico. One of the theories is that it's coming in with travelers and immigrants from 3rd. World countries. I hadn't heard specifically of a Mexican connection, though. Has anyone else?
