Also news flash from the TV station who contacted the CDC for a current comment on their Morgellons study release date: "They tell 2NEWS a release date hasn't been scheduled." Some things never change do they? : Tulsa medical research lab studying mysterious condition known as Morgellons Thread at LB: LymeBuster Chat - TULSA TV NEWS & DR WYMORE

| Well, DH, what is said about Morgellons itself is not new, but the extra donation money from the T. Bones Pickens foundation is new information, at least to those who did not attend the latest Morgellons conference. I personally think that another $100,000 towards Morgellons research is not to be sneezed at. We knew about the money to hire the forensic scientist to look at the DNA of some of the samples, but this money is in addition to that other donation which has the new young (and hopefully eager) hire already on the job. No one commented on her presentation at the latest Morgellons conference which is interesting. In fact I wonder if anyone really went to the conference? Meanwhile, as Kat says, the information about this donation does give us some hope, something in very short supply these days for Morgies.

| I liked this quote: Wymore said, "Staying cool and dry tends to make them feel better. As far as medications, not really, and that's the focus of my research is to try and figure out what is the causative agent of this. Because, until you can figure out what the cause is, trying to deal with a treatment is a guessing game." I am encouraged by these donations. It looks like people who have a lot of money are not getting cured by traditional medicine. It will trickle down (or up, which ever way you look at it) that eventually someone in the "family" will be affected by "M". The Monsanto clan, the President, our Senators, our Doctors of Medicines (MD's), CEO's of pharmaceutical companies, Health Insurance Cos & their families will finally wake up to learn that "Morgellons" is real because they have someone they love & trust comes down with our "condition". I do not wish this upon anyone. It is a matter of time. In the white light, ~jonsi

| I hate to think how sick I would be if I had not used some medication. In fact I just recently went back on a very small dose of my antiviral (only one pill a day) to see if it would help dry up the current lesion I have. Unfortunately I feel that besides the parasites which are very hard to dislodge there are also co-infections which allow parasites to thrive in the body. While TCM does have antivirals they have not been strong enough to treat what viral infections I have. Having all the lesions on my back dry up the way they did several years ago was not something that herbs were touching. Acyclovir dried up my viral lesions rather quickly. Making such blanket statement that medications will not help and is all a guessing game to me is quite misleading. Much depends on using the right medication too. I have not heard about anyone being tested for viral infections, just bacterial infections. I would still have those viral induced back lesions if I had not been treated. It's the lesions which have the parasites which appear less affected by acyclovir but I thought I would try to see if it would help any at this time. There was no guessing on the part of my doctor about what infection I had. He tested me and the tests were positive for two herpes type infections. He treated me with a drug which would both quiet the infection and kill any active viral infection. I have to wonder how qualified Wymore (he is not an MD) is to make such statements. Is he an infectious disease doctor? In fact are any of those MDs at OSU who are treating morgellons infectious disease doctors? If not I guess they do know a lot about guessing. Quote:

| But yet too say meds dont help us is nonsense. Does wydmore have morgellons??? I know Myself I feel better and have less issues when taking doxycyclin. I think if you link these disease at all too lyme you will find out it only get better with meds. wydmore has been working on this along time but so did dr harvey and if you remember dr harvey found the ones who took meds early had less problems later. so this can be an ongoing issue on this board bottom line everyone has different issues and problems. I know my lesions were healed by a doctor who told me too get dueo derm bandages. sammy |

| If so, they are also buying WATER.... T. Boone Pickens Invests in Water - Should You? - Seeking Alpha If legendary oil investor T. Boone Pickens is as successful investing in the water industry as he was investing in oil, it may pay to follow his lead. Chris Mayer of Daily Wealth recently wrote the following article ("A Refreshing Idea") about the emerging demand, shrinking supply of usable water and the profit potential of investing in water rights. T. Boone Pickens - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Donations to Oklahoma State University Boone Pickens Stadium at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Pickens has been a major financial contributor to his alma mater, the Stillwater campus of Oklahoma State University (OSU). Through his contributions, Pickens has spearheaded an extremely controversial effort to create an athletic village just north of the existing campus. In order to do so, hundreds of homes were acquired by the OSU administration via eminent domain and demolished using Pickens' contributions. Pickens' gift, albeit attracting a significant amount of criticism and controversy from the OSU and Stillwater communities, remains the largest donation to a university's athletic program in collegiate history. His total contributions to OSU come to over $400 million. Over $265 million, or 66%, of his donations have been towards athletics. Pickens also has made substantial academic gifts to Oklahoma State University, particularly to the School of Geology, which is named for him. On December 30, 2005, Pickens made a $165 million gift to Oklahoma State University. The New York Times reported that "the money spent less than an hour on December 30 in the account of the university's charity, O.S.U. Cowboy Golf Inc., before it was invested in a hedge fund controlled by Mr. Pickens, BP Capital Management."[35] Pickens, who is on the board of the O.S.U. Cowboy Golf, waived any management fees for the OSU monies.[36] All profits of the fund go to growing the OSU gift. The gift is intended to help fund an upgrade of the football stadium and construction of an athletic village, but sparked controversy because OSU planned to use eminent domain to acquire residential property for the projects.[37] The donation comes after a $70 million gift from Pickens to OSU in 2003, which was similarly structured using O.S.U. Cowboy Golf, Inc.[38] On July 28, 2007 the Board of Regents of Oklahoma State University approved a resolution to move $28 million from the OSU Foundation into Pickens' BP Capital Management company in Dallas. Oklahoma State has previously invested $277 million in the fund. Pickens has been waiving fees for the university's investments with his fund.[35][39] On May 21, 2008 Pickens donated $100 million dollars to academics at Oklahoma State University. The gift will be matched by the state of Oklahoma.[40][41] In October, 2008 it was reported in the NY Times that due to the recent financial recession, some of Pickens's gifts to the athletic department had seen a large decline in their market value while being managed in his hedge funds. The same NY Times article noted that due to the worldwide recession, most other schools and charitable organizations were also experiencing problems with investments. The article also mentions that Pickens' management of donated funds had previously "turned $6 million into $31 million" for the school's athletic fund.[35][42] |

| Do you get those bandages in the drug store sammy? I have one lesion I would like to start drying up after working out what is in the center of it. I assume this bandage helps dry up the lesions? Anyway, I agree with you about the meds. It is a personal decision and if some are not helped at all by drugs then those folks will be happiest giving all drugs a pass. The slant in the community seems to be to make people who notice some good improvement from using a drug feel terrible for saying a particular drug helped them. My viral lesions are dried up and have been gone nearly three years now. So how did that medication not help me? I do not think it helped the parasite part of my illness except I did not have the deep lesion last year I got this year. So maybe it did help more than I thought it did by making it harder for the parasites to survive. Viral infections could be a food source for them. Quote:
