Has anyone else lost their vi???sion from their disease ?

Hello everyone!
I've been meaning to ask this question for awhile. i've been around for a few years and it seems to me i'm like the only one on this board for as long as i've been a member nobody as of yet has spoken about losing their sight and am very curious if anyone knows of anyone else that has.when it happened to me i was having extreme conditions going on with my face and eyes celluitis.mrsa of the face and eyes.my eyes were filling up nightly with yellow gunk,major movement in my right eye both actually but i could feel my hair being wrapped around my eyeball and my right ear would move all on its own back and forth sometimes for up to fifteen mins at a time let me tell ya it was so crazy and scary i was wicked sick it seemed like since i was a little girl off and on. i knew something very strange was going on and i now know i've had this i've had this for an extremely long time.
I'm not trying to scare anyone just want everyone to be aware and to try to keep it at bay as much as possible.but i also know in my heart the reason it became such a massive infection is i was tottally oblivious to what was really going on until it reached its peak.just was curious thanks.

Havnt gone blind although my eyes are very blurred somedays and last night I dreamt I had gone blind! It was really scary and I was calling for my mum and when she came with some of my family and friends my eyesight came back! I was thinking in this dream that no-one is going to believe me that I had just lost my site! Scary! I had to see a pcychiatrist a couple of days ago and he hadnt ever heard of Morgellons and hadnt bothered to look it up so he diagnosed me as dilusional and im feeling really angry about it. He was very arrogant and intimidating! Anyway Ive wrote a complaint about it and about the dermatology dept who put the idea in his stupid head!

Well, Robin, I know that microfilarial worms are being considered by one doctor who is treating some patients for Morgellons symptoms. In fact she is the doctor who treated the Koch family (baseball player) for Morgellons. This doctor, Dr. Uppal, spoke at the Morgellons Conference last year and a synopsis of her speech is on the site. She feels that for some microfilarial worms may be involved in symptoms. Anyway, one microfilarial worm causes river blindness (Onchocerciasis). I copied this post from another forum some time ago. This post was written by Brandi, wife of the baseball player, who also had the Morgellons which forced her husband into early retirement. "Hello. My name is Brandi & I live in Punta Gorda, Fl. It’s approximately 30-40 min south of Sarasota, yet I drive 1 & 1/2 once a week to see an infectious disease doctor.

I realize that many have heard of her already, Dr. Neelam Uppal, of Bay Area Infectious Disease Center. It’s in Pinellas Park.

Recently, she submitted research/case studies about Morgellons to have it peer reviewed & hopefully have it published, but it was quickly rejected… She told me that at that moment, it made her not only furious, but even more empathetic & determined to help raise awareness & uncover the corrupt politics… & obvious cover-up regarding what’s being called, “Morgellon’s Disease”.

She said that she understands now more than ever how frustrating it is to be called “crazy”, as she felt that the exact message her peers were sending HER upon reviewing her writings. Even though, SHE knows beyond a shadow of a doubt, that what she has seen, examined, studied is very real… It’s still extremely bothersome to have anyone question your sanity. Especially, when living in a traumatized state as is the case with those of us who have this.

Just a heads up… Dr. Uppal’s office is not some fancy place as one might expect. It’s quaint, old, & she even takes walk-ins. She has kept her practice this way so that she can still assist MANY different patients from all walks of life. With or without insurance, medicaid, etc. At one point, she was about ot break ground on a multi-million dollar project to build an entirely new office complex, but due to the economy as well as her love for her patients… she has put this project on hold so that she can continue providing her patients with the care that so many of us desperately need.

I would also like to tell individuals before going to see her that she does not touch her patients. This is most bothersome to many. Not to me. I completely understand, nor do I want her to touch myself or other afflicted ones. I need her healthy. She listens & observes. She isn’t afraid to treat her patient’s ailments aggresively in spite of what other doctors and even the frequently scoffing pharmacist who often question her orders when reading a script for anti-parasitic medication. Still, she does what she thinks/feels is right. She will tweak your meds as often as you and her see fit.

I will tell you this, if you are looking for a doctor who KNOWS 100% that you are not crazy, & who will prescribe you medications that most other doctors would laugh and send you on your way with a DOP diagnosis before even considering… you should consider visiting her. There is no glitz and glam… just a sincere doctor who’s from India & has been seeing this for YEARS in her homeland country before coming to the states. In fact, she said to me, “In India, when people come in and are sick, parasites are one of the FIRST things we look for VS the last as it seems to be the case here in the states”.

Please expect however, to be asked to get some blood work done. She is a morally conscious doctor and she will want her new patients to get at least one set of blood work done before prescribing strong medications. However, she is aware that often times-nothing shows up in persons suffering with Morgellons. So, if she must… she does (for adults only) prescribe medications she sees fit based on symptoms alone. By now, she has seen enough people with this come in to her office in ROUGH condition… treat them aggresively with certain meds, & watch them make a miraculous turn around within varying time frames. That was true with me.

That is all I have to tell you & everyone within my/Dr. Uppal’s area. I know, it was a lot! LOL! She has agreed to work with others within the Morgellon’s community in the past and been weirdly/wrongly snubbed leaving her to feel as though something just isn’t right about the “front runners” within the Morgellon’s community doing scientific/medical research. It’s almost as though… they don’t really want to help. It’s all SHOW about now. SO, be careful with who you choose to trust. Some of the so called “heroes” you’ve been hearing about are simply wolves in sheep’s clothing. I know this for a fact-firsthand.

Stay positive & remember that NO ONE will care for YOU–like YOU will! If you aren’t caring for & loving yourself right now, it’s going to get even harder for you. There will be no “knight in shining armor” heading our way. Even for the most altruistic types who are doing research (like Marc) he can only help us help ourselves AND, he needs our help too. It seems as though he has a lot of support out there. SO, that’s great. Thanks to all who wrote in with helpful information, & thank you Marc for your research & I would also advise you to contact Dr. Uppal too. I know that she is looking for other like minds to work together with and help figure out what’s going on. Hello Robin!

My sight has declined and can be blurry. I get the white gunk in my tear ducts (I find filaments in the gunk also). My eyes tell me when I'm in a room full of air bourne particles. I also have nodules on the whites of my eyes - I'm sure that's not good!

I remember one member saying she had lost her sight completely and then it started to come back, with treatment. Can't remember who though.

Many have had the eye problems, film, feeling of web around the eyes. I use soverign silver and it helps quite a bit.

Angie did you tell the doctor you had insects crawling on you, its like a no no to the BOZO doctors. Most of these guys probably had no friends when they were children, maybe nobody would play doctor with them. Whatever the reason, keep bug infestation to yourself unless they can be seen and seen all the time.

In that case even an idiot can see them, still doctors are so anal that they would say you brought a bag of them with you and put them on before you came into the office. They would probably belive this if you took a shower right in front of them and the insects came out of your finger tips.

Angie, you are smarter now than before you went to the doctor, you now know that any amount of degrees on a wall does not make one smart, they may have knowledge, but that is not even sure.

Robin the Soverign Silver I take is 10 ppm you can find it online it is kind of inexpensive.

I have used the nutra silver, in fact I used alot of the stuff, BUT not so much in the eyes, it really kicks *** but the first time you use it you will not enjoy the feeling, after you use it several times the sensativity is gone and the eyes are really near perfect.

But if you think you do then you most likely do. The only DOP in this disease are the doctors, Delusion of Patients who are sick. And then theres baraka. Would someone with cancer and blindness go to their doc and say Doc I have cancer but if yu think I,m DOP then I won,t tell yu I,m blind. Go soak you buggy brain B.

Glad you asked Robin.I started getting some blur in my right eye soon after becoming ill with this. (Only bothers me reading) (computer or books and mags) I,ve read on many forums that and pages that vision problems are part of this, though I can,t remember it being mentioned here at MDR. I have seen eye doctor twice over this. He can not find anything wrong like glucoma or anything. Says it may just be floaters. But floaters are not known to get worse from my understanding with time. At the time my sight blurred in that one eye only I also experienced a nerve running from my eyebrow to my scalp that would jump when i rubbed or scratched my brow. Since I,ve gotten better, no symptoms for several months now this nerve does not jump any longer. But blurred vision in that eye is the same. Thanks for bringing this up.

They did not dismiss me and I was offered help. I was given meds for scabies a human parasite. Your blank brain no,s nothing of them and their meds were just as usless. Scabbies have become resisent to most meds.
