Lightbulb Nicotine as an insecticide against Morgellons?

Hi, I'm not quite sure where to put this and if it's in the wrong place can an admin move it to the right one?

Anyways I'm curious as to how many people who have Morgellons, smoke tobacco.

From my little understanding I've learned that Morgellons is cotton, mixed with some sort of insect, or the like.

But since nicotine is an insecticide and kills many parasites, does it have any affect on this ghastly pathogen? Is there a study anywhere on how many people who have it smoke?

I myself think I may have it, but my gut feeling tells me no. But if I do have it I have very little effects from it over the past few years.

The first few years (8-10 years ago) I had weird spots on my arms, along with webs more than likely from cotton towels but who knows. At the time I thought nothing of it. I picked up smoking since the age of 16, and since then from what I recall the spots were gone and haven't came back. Nor have I had any lesions to speak of.

Maybe nicotine is good for something afterall.

I know that if you gargle a little of good whiskey it'll clear up a sore throat.

Default Tobacco

There's a rumor that goes around, I've seen it on several forums, that American Spirit cigarettes are helpful with morgellons symptoms. Somebody said it makes you cough up any critters in your lungs and bronchial tubes. I smoke, and I've smoked that brand since before I developed morg symptoms. I have no idea whether it's been of any benefit against the morgs. But even if it has, the risk far outweighs any benefit, and it can't be helpful to the immune system. And I'm not convinced that inhaling the smoke of burning plants directly into your lungs couldn't also introduce morgellons into your system. It's be ironic if some of us smokers got it from our addiction. Personally, I'd like to quit. Any other dyed-in-the-wool nicotene addicts want to join me?

Default smoking

I am a smoker, been for too many years. As a matter of fact, my nasty habit has increased the last year or so.
I don't know if smoking is helpful with morgellons or not. But I did read from "Nanotransformations" that the smoke blown on a irritating section of skin has been known to relieve it for some. It also said not to use brands, like Marlboro and Camel, can't tell you why exactly, an ingredient they use not recommended for morgellons.
I myself smoke Winston, which claims to not use additives. Strange I know, it is what it is.

Default Me too

My smoking has increased, too. It's because we're not getting out and having enough fun. What're we doing sitting in front of computers going on and on about this stuff??? It ain't HEALTHY!!! Let's get out and DO SOMETHING! Preferably in a non-smoking place! (that would be just about anywhere these days...)

When I first realized what I had, my smoking increased to nearly 2 paks a day. I chalk this up to terrible anxiety from the reality of what I had.

I went back dwn to a pak a day but now due to DVT and PE I am seriously trying to cut back.

I can't say either way whether the nicotene helped or not but I would not tell anyone to begin to smoke. If you want to investigate with nicotene there are other ways, such as gum, patch and e-cigs. You don't get all the other nasty stuff.

posey

keep in mind that nicotene constricts the blood vessels

I personally believe smoking feeds the monster. I also increased the amount I smoked after diagnosis, but eventually was able to stop. I have not started back because the few times I went back to take a puff, I could literally feel tingling in my face, right chest, and left back shoulder. The same thing has happened consistently every time I have cheated and taken a puff or two. I think it would be very interesting to find out how many smoke. Of course, stopping smoking is no cure. But, in my case at least, not smoking seems to help a little.
