Dr Schaller is reflecting on the fact that the findings in the above abstract are no surprise. He goes on to say that "...THEIR FINDINGS ARE NO SURPRISE, we believe many of us have a notion of the causes for their findings."

As a Board Member of one of the 2 Morgellon Foundations, don't these doctors and board members have some sort of an obligation to report findings- most especially KNOWN findings that are NO SURPRISE to CHF Board members.

Maybe at an annual conference ?

So inform us, we have notions too but need confirmation.

Hi Venetia,

I saw the abstract you found in a the medical journal for gastroenterologists. I thought you would like to see the published copy. I think this abstract, small though it is and published in a medical journal most doctors will recognize, will therefore hold more weight with mainstream doctors. Can they now continue deny that something is going on with our symptoms? I think although more study is warranted and mentioned by these two doctors that this cannot be overlooked any longer:

Scroll down to number 709 on this page to read it published there. What a hugely exciting find you made when you first spotted this Venetia. Now we can all see it has been published in a mainstream medical journal.

I also have to wonder about people who have an idea of what this is and yet sit on their behinds, not sharing their findings with those who are dying from this. I, too, have an idea about what could be involved, not discussed extensively on MDR. I have seen it discussed however over at LB. I cannot understand the reluctance to go out on a limb to save lives, but I guess people have to protect their livelihoods.

Thanks for the link, TCM and thanks for the recognition. You are a person of integrity and it is appreciated! I've spotted that abstract posted on numerous other links with the respective owner/s taking credit for the find. How mundane- but it does sell products I would bet. As you say... people have to protect their livelihoods.

I have my own theory as well which I have posted here and at LB. Has to do with Calcium carbonate-
CaCO3 & Pathogenic Candida et al. Also, there can be no denial of Lyme and co-infections in the vast majority of sufferers.

Guess we have 20 choices so there is room for lots of speculation.

It is distressing that there are warring factions that refuse to divulge pertinent information on this syndrome and worse - discredit what is known.

Took a trip on the wayback machine and found the last entry for Morgellons.org is August 22, 2008.

James L Schaller, M.D, MAR was listed on the Medical Advisory Board at that time. He is not currently listed per the link (morgellons.org) below so I do not know the date that changed.

Thanks TCM! I plan on getting that book as well. Dr Shoemaker would be my choice of physicians, if he was closer to where I live. I'm sure that you are aware that he also has a background in Lyme disease.
