Default Woven Polyester

I know there is a thread about clothing but I cn'e find it and I really need to buy clothes. I should have subscribed to it. If anyone knows the link to it please post in reply. I think sojii offered some advice and I have the link for those pants. I want to kinda look for bargains right now.

Anyone know what "woven polyester" is and if anyone has had problems with it?

Sometimes they take these fabrics and make them so that everythng sticks to them. I can't wear wool due to itching, but I can imagine fibers from wherever you wear it would stick to wool. Same with velour. I bought acrylic socks once and threw them out due to moving fibers.

I really haven't the finances to get a new wardrobe much less throw money away because clothes are infected.

Thanks much, posey

Smile clothes clothing materials

Hi oisey,

I put this title into the search box and clicked threads and came up with lots of info,

I read somewhere that tighter woven silks, satins and other tightly woven materials are best

I avoid anything from thrift stores, yard or garage sales, anything with a nap like fuzzy stuff, corduroy.

I have several winter knit sport outfits and they are Noooooot good.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your what works for you post.

Posey,

Don't know much about that , I'm a cotton girl.....but, have you tried bioKleen laundry detergent? Also borax in the wash, I am using the bioKleen oxygen plus too, and I love it, I ran out of softener and my clothes are still coming out soft and smelling like freshness in a bottle .

I bought it online for like 9-10$, spent 25$ so i got free shipping. I think at drugstore.com, but if you do a search for it, you might find it on sale somewhere else. I saw it once for like 8 something. I was buying it in the stores for like 16-17$!

I love it, and I believe it kills whatever's trying to live in it. Oh except for American Eagle shirts..... no likey them.

love,kc

Morg-free ladies' slacks
I've had great luck with these slacks. I've had them for about a year, wash in hot water every week and they're no-iron. The morgs don't seem to like or infect them. Ok, they're for "mature" women; if you're 25, you'll hate them. Sorry! For those of us 50 and over, they're comfy, worry-free and they stay looking nice and neat. But don't spread it around. If Alfred Dunner finds out morgies are buying his slacks, he might take them off the market.

Default Did I see my name mentioned? LOL!

Hey, all,

It's weird how some things work for some people and not for others.

kckc, I haven't had very good luck with BioKleen. But I haven't tried the oxy version. I always use a Borax pre-soak and on things that won't fade, also use OxyClean.

You wear cotton? How are you doing that? I can't get within two feet of cotton except the really processed stuff like denim. I've tried. Washing, drycleaning, the whole kit and kaboodle. The second I put it on I'm bitten on the back and shoulders. I was a cotton girl until this started. I've thrown away a fortune in cotton clothes.

Posey, I think woven polyester just means that you can see the weave. They make little threads out of it and weave them criss-cross just like regular fabric. The slacks on the link are woven and look ok, but I've seen other woven polyester that looks like it's from a top-stitched leisure suit from 1970. But you can always send stuff back if you hate it!

Yep, no fuzzy stuff. No nap. And no turtlenecks. Before I knew what was happening to me, I wore turtlenecks almost every day last winter with jackets or slacks and jeans. Turtlenecks are too close to the hair. If something's in the fabric, it's just a short little jump to the hairline from a turtleneck. Oh how I miss those with this turkey-gobbler neck stuff creeping up on me. Besides, try to find a polyester turtleneck. Impossible. They're all cotton or cotton blends.

I use borax & 7th generation laundry detergent.

I still try to avoid clothes made in China...

And at one time I would spray my clothes with eco-vie or bug arrest before and after washing them, and then store each outfit in a sealed plastic bag. There are different stages in this "M" disease and the clothes biting is one of the worst!

sojii, can you find a silk turtleneck? Kinda pricey I know, maybe put it on your wish list to Santa Claus

In the white light,

SOJII!! Try the Peppermint Soap! If you can't access it put some peppermint oil in your laundry detergent! Dr. Bonner's Hemp Soap with Peppermint...add the Oxy Clean! Saved me!

lamb, you are so right!

You reminded me of how I used to carry a bottle of peppermint extract in my purse and apply it whenever I felt like I was getting "bit".

I haven't experienced the biting/crawling sensations for a long time now, but I now use "Thieves" whenever I go out in public. Home of THIEVES ESSENTIAL OIL and Products based on Thieves Oil

itwl,
