Default What state do you live in?

Hey guys, I started a thread in Lymebusters and have been working with the administrator there to get the word out to many as possible. I am hoping to gather people together by state or regeions so that we can get some cohesion and start a grassroots type campaign for recognition and help. The only way we are going to get going in the right direction is to form groups either by region or state...we need numbers here in order to get this going so...

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING AND EITHER SIGN INTO THE LYMEBUSTERS SITE OR PERHAPS WE COULD START THE SAME THREAD HERE AND THEN GET THE ADMINISTRATORS WORKING TOGETHER ON THIS:

Here is the mass mailing that went out this morning:

"Many who are suffering from Morgellon's disease are in the process of trying to find a way to come together in putting pressure on the CDC to come forward with information that could help us conquer this debilitating disease. This may be accomplished in several different ways but we need to come together and figure out a definitive plan that we can all agree on. The main goal aside from pressuring the CDC for answers, would be to get the word out to the medical community, as well as increasing public awareness.

We would like to ask you to come to the Lymebusters website and log in and post your state on the What state do you live in thread.

http://lymebusters.proboards.com/ind...d=14456&page=1

From there, members that live in the same states can private message each other their contact info if they want, with the members privacy in mind all of the time.

Hopefully we can succeed in forming some grassroots groups state by state (and/ or regions?). This method of contacting board members to find out the state where each person lives, might be in fact the only way to possibly know how many lives have been impacted by this disease and would be the first step in getting a grass roots campaign organized and moving in a forward motion. Most who are suffering are beginning to realize that if we don't get involved and proactive in some way, then we may be waiting for answers that could quite possibly take years to come.

We hope that even if one is too sick to actively participate, that each and every board member who has suffered and / or have had Morgellons negatively affect their lives, would sign in and give their location. With this information, we can then decide who would be willing and able to participate in forming meetings with those in close proximity to discuss further action. With representation from each state/region, there may be enough people afflicted that will have a greater impact on bringing this disease to the forefront--strength is in numbers!

Thank you for taking the time to participate."

Thanks !
Pdidit

Pdidit,

Your link does not work for me.

An interesting attempt to get people together on this.

yeah it sure doesn't!! Thanks for pointing this out and will look into this. In the meantime, you can just go to the lymebusters site and the administrator is keeping this thread viewable on the front page--same title.

Thanks!

LOL good one and sadly is all too true!

Think we need to stop being silent about this though, aside from venting our frustrations on the forums....let's at least try this and see where it leads...?

Below is the original link that brings you to the first page of the thread where I posted the message--think you will find it inspiring to see how many have responded and some of their stories. It is surprising to me how many are 'up north'! who would have thunk it, with the weather being so cold in New England...hmm.

Hope to see you there!

Thanks Carla and yeah, whichever is easiest--the way we do this is not the issue, just as long as we can compile the numbers between site administrators...so will leave this up to you Carla. Anthill is the moderator of the Lymebuster's site and he is all for this like you--think we could really get this going, if people saw there was actually a chance to make a difference!!!

Thanks so much again ...think we could all use a boost and create something positive going in the right direction for once!!! But it has become very clear to me that no one is going to do this for us...

xx
