| Hi Losing everything, nice to meet you. I wrote that research in sept 2009 and still hold to the possiblity that myiasis plays a star role in morgs. Here's the thread with a summary: Micro-myiasis morgellons theory Here's a copy of the report, highlighted so folks don't have to plough through war and peace alone lol Yahoo! Groups Jo |

| I am suffering from myiasis for 5 mths but I just stumbled on that site and I believe you are right. The threads & black specs (which are the breather tubes and the buzzing sounds in the ears, crawling sensation from the larvae traveling! I love the people on this forum they have really helped me and now I know what caused my "M" I go to the doctor in the morning hes a great doc been my kis md for 7 yrs however I still nervous about asking him about "M" but I will be printing that info out and taking it to him! Maybe others should go have it checked out too and find even more reliefe. I believe witht the antifungals & antibacterial mask the problem and that might explain y everytime I stopped my "treatments" it got worse and then harder to control So thank you very much for your therory!!!!! I just hope the doc will listen. I think morgellons might be the long term disease for Myiasis what do you think |

| Sorry LE but I think the Myiasis is one small part of a much larger issue. The insects I've micro-scoped and identified are fungal feeders. The fungus in our bodies attracts them and they lay their eggs and hatch. Some plants have a symbiotic relationship with fungus to attract Collembola. I've killed and dumped so many insects and it hasn't changed the fact I have Morgellons. The fibres are impervious to the enzymes and other treatments especially the fibre optic ones that seem to have a mind of their own.

| Hi Ellie(L.E.) I think it is great to have found a doctor you trust. Many of us have had poor experiences trying to discuss this with a doctor. Randy Wymore has been leading research into our condition and has on his webpage a letter that introduces this subject to doctors that have not heard of it. You may want to follow the link to this statement and print a copy for your doctor. It may allow for him/her to better understand this massive issue and help you in their suggested treatments. Good luck and keep us updated. follow the link to a printable version... I've included the text here so all can read it. Xib for the pdf document... http://www.healthsciences.okstate.ed...tatement_4.pdf Re: Morgellons Disease From: Randy S. Wymore, Ph.D., Department of Pharmacology & Physiology Rhonda Casey, D.O., Department of Pediatrics Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences Tulsa, Oklahoma Dear Practitioner, This letter concerns a patient population that manifests a particular set of symptoms we have encountered with increasing frequency, and that OSU-CHS is actively researching. The condition has been labeled as Morgellons Disease and it is unclear if this is a single disease or a multi-faceted syndrome. Until recently, most of these patients have been grouped as a subset of the diagnosis of Delusions of Parasites (delusional parasitosis; DOP). After obtaining careful patient histories and thorough physical exam, we have determined that Morgellons patients have several important distinctions ruling out the diagnosis of DOP. This population of patients frequently exhibit the following symptoms: • Distinct and poorly healing skin lesions with unusually thick, membranous scarring upon eventual healing. • Moderate to extreme pruritis at sites of lesions as well as un-erupted skin. • Microscopic examination of these lesions will most often reveal the presence of unusual fibers, which may be black, blue or red. These fibers, which many healthcare providers initially thought to be textile contaminants, are often present in the deep tissue of biopsies obtained from unbroken skin of individuals with this condition. Careful examination of these fibers further reveals that they are frequently associated with hair follicles, and are definitely not textile in origin. • Most of these patients suffer from a host of neurological symptoms which can vary in severity from mild to severe. These neurological symptoms include peripheral tingling, paresthesias and varying degrees of motor involvement which appear to progress. • Intermittent cognitive and behavioral status changes are often observed and also seem to progress with the severity of disease. This is often referred to as “brain fog” by the patient as they experience a waxing and waning of this symptom. • Laboratory findings in these patients are variable, but often reveal eosinophilia and elevated levels of Immunoglobin E. • Other symptoms of varying severity and frequency have been described, and are included in the attached case definition. Morgellons patients differ from classical, delusional parasitosis patients in several areas. They do not respond to antipsychotics, and new lesions continue to appear upon complete cessation of manual excoriation. Due to the sensation of foreign material in their tissue, that has been described as sharp, stinging and/or splinter- like, the patient may have discovered the fibers prior to seeking medical care, and may bring them to your office for examination. Please do not assume that the patient's problem is purely psychological based on this propensity. Many of these patients may appear skeptical of traditional medical care due to frequent dismissal of their symptoms in the past. The combination of suffering from a chronic disease with distressful symptoms and no known cause or cure can cause some patients to appear anxious or agitated. We encourage you to take the time to carefully interview any patient who may fall into this category, perform any testing you may deem appropriate, and most importantly treat the patient with compassion and dignity. | Hi xib, I hope this post doesn't make you mad at me, but I have met Randy Wymore and he totally blew me off when I suggested that toxins, GMO/fast food had anything to do with "Morgellons". He was quite arrogant. OSU is an agriculture college and I think they probably work with Monsanto. Also, I think the only protocol he would suggest would be long term pharmaceuticals. How many of us have been "cured" by using pharmaceuticals? Not me, I use natural/homeopathic medicine. Never touched a prescription. So back to topic... in the white light, ~jonsi

| I wasn't very popular when I started this thread a couple years ago Jonsi, but I think it is important to realize how research is effected by those who are out to make long term profit as these companies most often are the ones which sponsor research they want. Other viewpoints are not needed and are probably actively discouraged. I still feel that land grant colleges have a vested interest in not studying the effects of GMO foods on the people everywhere who are pretty much forced to eat some of them since they are grown in so many countries. Even organic foods are being effected by these plants. Wymore is probably not the only one whose research may be curtailed in such a work environment. Mark Darrah's school also is doing research in the area of biotechnology. It is also a land grant university system, just like OSU where Wymore is: The nation's largest and most comprehensive state university system, The State University of New York (SUNY), was founded at Potsdam, New York in 1816. Years later, the Morrill Act of 1862 led to the creation of four Ivy League land-grant SUNY colleges, which now currently exist at Cornell University. SUNY was officially established in February 1948 when New York became the 48th state, of the then 48 states, to create a state university system. SUNY initially represented a consolidation of 29 unaffiliated institutions, including 11 teachers colleges. All of these colleges, with their unique histories and backgrounds, united for a common goal: To serve New York State. Since 1948 SUNY has grown to include 64 individual colleges and universities that were either formerly independent institutions or directly founded by the State University of New York. | Thanks for sharing that info. I do think, however, that a morgie with an appointment to a doctor other than Randy may have a better chance of a successful consultation if they are armed with this letter. I have not received any positive treatment from pharmacueticals or doctors. Especially when I brought up the subject of Morgellons, parasites or samples. xib |
