Update On My Progress Approximately February of 2010 I began a protocol via my pain doctor who is a D.O - Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Some people do not understand what the D.O stands for. A D.O goes through the usual schooling all doctors do but s/he then goes on to further his/her edu. in pain, skeletal, muscles, etc.
The protocol I began was for Mycoplasma and Chlamydia Pneumonia. I had testing done and my results were elevated blood level titres. In reality, there is not yet a test to tell if when you have the test you actually have these illnesses presently or have had them in the past. I had my testing done at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN because the clinics where I live do not even do this type testing. One of the clinics is even an affiliate or branch of Mayo. My blood had to be sent to Mayo.
Due to me health issues I decided to do the protocol which my Dr. had researched. I began taking Doxycyclene 100mg 1 x day, 7 days a week. After a month I took Doxy 2 times a day, 7 days a week. After another month we then introduced Azithromycin 250 mg 2 x day on Mon-Wed-Fri. After another month we began Metronidazole. This one was added extremely slowly. My Dr. said it was because patents give up on it because they feel so rotten. So I took Metronidazole 3 x day only 1 day every 2 weeks (I chose Monday) . I did this for about 2 months and then I took it 3 x day only 1 day every week. The idea was to get me slowly up taking 3 pills a day, 5 days a week. About a month ago I dropped the Doxy because it nauseates me.
Six days ago I woke up almost a new person. I had more energy. The world wasn’t hazy of fuzzy, if you can understand what I mean. Like a fog being lifted from me. I’m happy, I look forward to when someone stops over and as with this weekend, I looked forward to my son coming to deer hunt with his dad fo the weekend, bringing is girlfriend with him.
In the past, I dreaded anyone coming over and not because I don’t like people. The first thing I would think of and would nearly bring me to tears is, “who is going to get the house ready for company, even if it is family?”
The past 6 days I have been happily doing long needed deep cleaning in my home. I feel so much better. I do not know if this is going to help the M factor but I believe I made the right decidion in treating Mycoplasma and Chlamydia Pneumonia. One thing for sure, if M is going to be put in remission or cured, I would think one needs to get rid of any other illness going on.
So, that is where I am at right now. I do not have the annoying movement on my as much. However, my hair is not hair or it is diseased hair yet. I need to shave them again.
Hugs to all and I’m praying daily for God to help the researchers with resources, funding, knowledge, etc. for all of us suffering with this hideous disease.
