Default guys, MRSA have you heard of it?

i may be wrong about thinking i have the buggys, i found this and it decsribes to a tee what im going through here, the skin lesions, etc. it says MRSA common in nursing homes/hospitols/prisons, well my mom was in a care home for almost 10 years and my dad would visit her everyday.
remember how i was tripping, wondering if i was allergic to my dad? i was pretty close, handling towels, even door knobs can infect you.
some people here have mentioned their pets have it, well, pets CAN get MRSA . i remember telling my doc that when i would switch antibiotics from doxycycline to ethromycin, back and forth, it seemed to help..well, apparently, this 'superbug' gets immune to antibiotics really quick and the sites say that switching antibiotics is one way to treat it...the more i read, the more of my symptoms match and can be explained way better than even morgellons, since morgellons technicly isnt a 'thing' yet.but there are many levels/stages of the MRSA and tit describes thing ive heard other people here describe...im not going to copy a bunch of words and junk, goto google or dogpile.com and search MRSA. you willfind sites like the mayo clinic, CDC, respected sites, not frauds..
oh, my biopsy results? well , from what they say, a skin BIOPSY doesnt show, but a swab test does..i see my derm on monday, im gonna ask him.
but no kidding, google this you guys and see how many of your symptoms match...
haha, i hope my dad wont be too pissed its not bugs, remember, we changed the carpet, had the house tented, all that..but the house really DID need repairs, so im hopeing he wont think im any crazier than he already does.besides, the house looks great now, he has that gleem of pride back in his eye...
BTW, im still gonna clean!!

Well, Jane, I hope you don't have MRSA- but if you do, try what I use for Lyme and the co-infection (M):

Thieves oil kills MRSA-

I make Thieves oil out of equal parts of these 5 essential oils:

Clove oil
Cinnamon oil
Rosemary oil
Lemon oil
Eucalyptus oil

Of them- the Clove and eucalyptus break down biofilms - the oils cross the Blood Brain barrier-

I keep a diffuser going daily- with the essential oils in it and use the Thieves household cleaner with no gloves-

I think that could be helping me the most in that it seeps in to my skin as I'm cleaning. Just add a small amount of the Thieves oil to water and use as you would any other household cleanser.

In the past, I had constant sinus issues and that has cleared completely. The diffuser has been going for about a year now. All day, when I am home.

Boron also kills MRSA but I would have to find more info on that.

And we know that Garlic kills MRSA and it's inexpensive.

I'm sure that TCM will have some additional good info for you as well.

I have read that there is a strain of MRSA that is not responding to antibiotics. This is where the essential oils, the herbs et al come into play.

You can buy the oils at GNC. They have great sales and I get the buy one get one free or buy one- get one 1/2 price. Very affordable, especially if you have the Gold card and get a discount.

So thankful that we are aware of all of this information.

Will pray for good results at your next doctor visit and thereafter...

~V~

Hi Jane and Venetia'
Jane that was my diagnosis along wth fibromyalgia.it had completely entered my face thru the danger zone.the thing is after awhile i knew when my culture would test positive and when it wouldn't. my dr was very surprised! it will only test positive when the yellow goo is involved the clear goo never tested positive.this is my personal experience with it they called it chronic re-occuring MRSA. the first case of mrsa was in 1964 i believe in england so its been around for along time. i would also put a bet that the "boils" many of us mentioned having as earlier symptoms would have tested positive also! V You are so right about essential oils there have been tests done on these and they are proven to keep it at bay.thanks for the info.

Here's one person's successful experience using TCM medicine (this is in a clinic in England) for a MRSA infection. No wonder there is renewed interest in herbal use among some who practice mainstream medicine. What I fear though is that with that interest will come the control of herbs by doctors and drug companies. It would be hard to say that just one TCM formula would be used for treating someone though. The second article has me wondering if perhaps some hou pu (magnolia bark) is in the formula that was prescribed for this person:

The problem started in June 2008 – when a wound on my ankle would not heal. It had started from either a scratch or a bite.
By the end of June my local surgery had diagnosed that I had MRSA in the wound.
The problem was further complicated by the fact that I had previously had 3 operations for varicose veins; leaving the circulation of blood in that leg somewhat impaired.

The G.P. prescribed 3 separate courses of antibiotics, none of which aided the healing process. I was beginning to feel affected by the constant pain and intense drawing feeling in my ankle.

I was also visiting the surgery several times a week for fresh dressings to help heal the wound.

In August 2008, I went to see Mazin for his advice. He prescribed me Chinese herbal medicine to use both internally and externally. He advised to leave the wound open to the air as much as possible and to dress with the powder and honey mixture.

I took the herbs over a period of four months and used the external dressing for 6 weeks. After a month I felt far less pain and the wound was beginning to heal. By December 2008 the wound was completely healed and the pain subsided.
I am now waiting to be re-tested for the MRSA
- I finished taking my herbs about 4 weeks ago. I went to my medical centre two weeks ago to be tested for MRSA. I am delighted to say that I am clear!! Thank you so much for all your care. You can now draw a line under my case.

Robin,

I hope that your re-occuring MRSA is under control now and agree that the "boils" that many on the
boards mention are most likely MRSA.

TCM,

Did I miss it ? The powder and honey mixture- what is in the powder? Magnolia Bark?

(not quite awake yet)

Thanks,

~V~

Hi, V, morning to ya!

No, even though not quite awake yet you did not miss anything with the mention of the powder and honey. It is possible the powder used was one prescribed especially for that patient or it could be a standard powder used for particular issues on the skin, such as for fungus or for parasites. I know the guy where I am has powders for both of these types of issues, although specifically the powder used for parasites is most commonly used with those who have vaginal issues like chlamydia. Since that second link discusses magnolia bark and how it can be used for MRSA issues, I suspect that one addition to the formula could be magnolia bark. I know that most commonly formulas are tailored to the individual's symptoms, so it is possible that none of what this person was prescribed is a standard formula (a one size fits all formula). As a general rule though, TCM would not use just one herb to treat a patient's TCM pattern picture.

On re-reading what this person said again V, it looks as if s/he might have used the same powder both internally and externally, so I doubt it would be a standard powder such as the ones I mentioned above. Those can only be used safely externally (there are poisonous herbs which are not meant for internal use in those). So it would be a guess about what is in any of that mixture s/he was prescribed. I can only guess that perhaps magnolia bark was in part of the formula.

thanks for you inut guys, im going to wait until monday and ask my doc to do a swab ( i think thats what its called) test, because the biopsys i g=had said bugs. ( the last iopsy that is) but the different sites say biopsys wont show this MRSA, only a swab can..so im going to wait see what that says.
i also appreciate the sugestions for hearbs and teas, but the way i am, i have to pinpoint the problem before i can go looking for ways to treat it, so thats kind of why i havent explored other things yet, im staying cautios so i dont get another problem going as well ( i could be allergic to stuff, so i dont want to throw other things into the mix here just yet) its kind of like troubleshooting myself, lol.i am very lucky though i think, because i am the healthiest sick person ive ever met!
