Default Morgellons and Alcohol

The drinking kind, not Ibuprofil. Does drinking make symptoms better or worse?
I'm not a big drinker but have a function to go to tomorrow night where I need to be comfortable, as normal as possible and at least seem to be outgoing...for me that usually means I need a drink first...is that a recipe for disaster?

Well, def don't drink and drive! But I have a drink almost every day & I don't believe it has contributed to "M" symptoms.

I have read that rubbing alcohol aggravates the "M" symptoms.

In the white light,

Default Morgellons and Alcohol

Jonsi,
My limit's one or two, not enough to get me into trouble. Otherwise I'm looking for a lampshade to put on my head...I'm a very happy drunk. This is a business function with Bigwigs and Notables and Names. Scratching and wiggling might not be appropriate. On the other hand, chances are that some of them have Morgellons, too...Frankly, I'd rather be at home scratching and wiggling with a good book...

sojii, I know you will get through your social function. What's weird is when I was really sick I noticed a lot of people that had "M" too. It seems like when I was really sick, others that have this stuck out too. It's like the M communicates between us... It is hard to explain. But now that I am healthy I hardly notice when someone is suffering from "M".

It is good that you are going out! I have read so many books since I first got sick with "M". I still love to read now even though I am much better.

Don't worry about a few drinks. Have fun! Getting out of the isolation is a sign you are getting better.

itwl,

Default Morgs and Alcohol

I'm not isolated, Jonsi; I go out on weekends...and my two closest friends now know I have this, for better or worse. I've just always preferred a good book to a whole bunch of people in one room! Much better if taken with a drink or two!

Seeing how alcohol is not a plus for your immune system,,I would have to advise abstinance from drinkinking until you get this mess out of ya.
Then you could party on.,,I guess..
The form of this mess did a number on my liver,,and was makin it hurt all the time as if I had cirrosis,,hence my user name.
I had just given up beer,,and the occasional shot of whiskey,at the onset of this mess (I thought the pain was BECAUSE of drinkin,,,little did I know,,it was the morg doin this).
Even after quitting(drinking),,the pain persisted..,,,I then knew something else was a problem,,and found out about the morg,,and the test for it.
When going full blown with this,,and having the throat/tongue egg(?) fiber thingies,,surfacing when I gargled with the gold mouthwash,,,,I could only imagine taking a shot of whiskey,,,having these things come out,,THEN swallowing them.
Which what I was probably doing on a smaller scale anyway at the time, but to agitate them to the surface,,and the swallowing them,,with whiskey(which lowers your immune system),,surely would not be good,,,and probably would have been way worse,,than the infection I did have,,which was awful in my book..

I dont know which alcohol,,you speak of,,(beer, wine or hard stuff)

If you are not experiencing the throat/mouth problems,,then I dont know what else to say,,other than the immune system thing..

The liver seems to take a real beating with this stuff,,is the reason why I explain this,,and putting it on overtime,,just doesnt seem good,,,seeing it has this foriegn stuff to deal with...

BOY,,,I need a drink!!!! ,,,,not really,,,have given it up for good...

My liver is no longer giving me fits anymore,,but I cant change my user to hurtin-no-more...LOL

To sojii:
Cool!!! My friends, boyfriend & family know I have this too.

I'm glad you get out. A lot of people with "M" feel isolated.

Peace to you,
~jonsi

Did you read Suzanne Somers book Knockout ? It's about fungus and valley fever. I've been meaning to get it,but it would take weeks for me to read it.
