Default Sleep-Bedding HELP

Since the movement began on me in Nov. 2008, I have been sleeping in a recliner. I'm terrified of my bed but I need to get back in it because it is an adjustable bed which we bought for my pain issues.

What have others done to their mattress and what do you use for blankets.

I have just been throwing sheets on recliner and washing them most every day.

At first I was using one which is fiber made (cloth). Then my husband bought me a leather recliner. On the back rest of the leather chair there are flaps which can be lifted up. I did that and what is there is horror. These fibers are in it. The are the type that are shiny, and they have the identifiable "morg curve" to them.

Pillows-what do other do for a pillow.

I have wrapped my mattresses in plastic bags with duct tape. It also helps to get a steamer and kill anything around. They don't cost very much. I use high thread count sheets and wash them with borax and a little bleach. I use only acrylic blankets. They are warm and the buggers don't seem to like them.

Default I agree Belle...

Those treatments seem to work for me too. I do use satin sheets now (not cotton) and that seemed to help alot. At the worst time for me I had to throw out my mattress. I replaced it with an inflatable mattress that is 18" high (double thickness). It is easy to treat with diatomaceous earth (sprayed) and very comfortable. I use the zippered cases for the mattress and the pillows. Also easy to clean/treat. Some times I use enzymes like Kleengreen/ Ecovie to treat the bedding. Acrylic blankets are great.

I wasted my money on one of those expensive zippered breathable bedbug mattress covers when I initially thought I had head lice and later thought maybe it was bedbugs. But if they can be penetrated by air, they can be penetrated by morgs and I had to toss out my wonderful, big, cushy mattress. For the new mattress I got two vinyl zippered mattress covers at walmart, cleaned them in a bleach solution and duct-taped the zipper. The reason I use a second over it is that I get a lot of biofilm on my skin and it transfers with time to the vinyl. I replace the top one fairly frequently. They're really cheap. I duct-tape the zipper on the second one, too. My bedroom is the only room that's carpeted so I sometimes sleep in my living room on a huge leather chair with ottoman. I'm short, so it works. Like Xiblanque, I switched to satin sheets (polyester, and no, they're not hot. Penney's still has them on sale in the catalogue) and I wear poly satin pj's and sleep shirts as well. I haven't had any biting at night since. I wash my sheets every other night, sometimes every third night if I'm really tired.

I sleep on a water bed... Wash all of my clothes/linens in borax.

Have you tried spraying enzymes (eco-vie or Bug-Arrest) on your mattress, sheets, clothes, everywhere (!)?

I have a very good friend that has slept in plastic sheets for the past several years & she still gets the fibers & bites all of the time. I feel so bad about her.

Hope you find some answers.

In the white light,
