I hope people take a couple of moments to sign this petition. It can be done anonymously, if you choose.

Also, if you can send requests to your "circle" to do the same, it would be appreciated. That would include any other groups you may be a member of.

Will it do anything? Maybe just more noise, but if that is the best we can do to try to bring attention to our plight, then so be it.

Jonsi, When they wanted me too sign up for other things. like feed the poor and I can recall what the other one was but it sounds like they want too get email address for other things. had someone last week said my one credit card and been broken in too and that was a fraud. There is a lot of fraud out there and maybe we need too get more info on these sites. Just my view. sammi

I've been receiving selected email notices from Care2 for a few years.
They are Not a scam and I don't get spam related to them either.
Plus they have some really Good ecards.
I Love Care2.

Care 2 is a legitimate site that does an awful lot of good.

The only "information" they can get on you is the same (actually, less) as they would from the phone book (since they don't ask for your phone number). How could they possibly get credit card information?

I just don't understand the inertia in our community when it comes to activism - especially when when it is something as easy as signing a petition - even anonymously!

These signatures go right to Congress...

There is a button on the petition that disallows your "name" from being viewed. We need this type of action.... and we need to act.

additionally... how many Family members and friends are willing to sign up on this petition.
How many loved ones are being affected by the lack of recognition and lack of funding for a cure.

it wont get researched until doctors start getting lots of people coming in with this, if they see a bunch of people coming into their offices with open sores for no reason, they will find out why to make sure its not gonna be something like the black death plauge. but as long as stupid people say not to go to a doctor, then the doctors wont know theres a problem to look into!! petitions from people that are not doctors are not considered. real doctors need to see people coming in with this, people with sores and no reason why. people that dont have a bunch of other health issues.. THATS whats gonna get intrest in it, not apetition

I am bumping this thread up because of Doc Holliday's request (on an older petition thread) that we sign one.

The reason I prefer this petition is that it
1) Goes directly to congress with each signature
2) It safeguards against duplications


You can be anonymous (publicly), though you do have to provide information to the Care2 petition site so that the integrity of the petition can be maintained.

Signing a petition doesn't mean you can't do other things, too. It's just one little thing you can do to try to help our group to be a voice.
