| i was going to ask people here when the last time they looked in their attics, i took a look in ours and about fainted!! but i just came across a site that explains the red and blue fibers, everything!! it may not apply to all, but i think im on to something here, it even mentions morgellons... An Investigation of Indoor Dust Debris Blamed on a Heating/Cooling System Reveals Carpet Dust An Investigation of Indoor Dust Debris Blamed on a Heating/Cooling System Reveals Carpet Dust in case the first one doesnt work.. also, this is the page morgellong wa mentioned, Mold Related Illness: Index of Symptoms of Common and Uncommon Illnesses and Complaints caused, or suspected to be caused or aggravated by indoor airborne mold, by physical contact or other means of mold exposure go take a look, i got goose bumps when i saw this site... ps.. have you looked in your attic lately? ill post the full results of my biopsys if anyone would like to see, but my laptop is not working well, so i can only be online for a few minutes before it cuts out on me.. yeah, another expensive thing for me to deal with!! lol also, we replaced the carpet in half of the house, and its making a difference...

Where did the first webpage mention morgs? This was interesting: "Remarkably the dust sample from this West coast home was unusually clean. The sample was 90% cotton fibers, mostly blue with a few red ones included. There were incidental (not statistically significant) wool fibers present too. Skin cells were another 8% of the sample, and typical drywall dust and road dust made up the rest. The sample contained no mold spores, no fiberglass, no heating fuel combustion products, no ash, no paint droplets, in other words, it was cotton from a mostly blue fiber source." I would hazard a guess that the fibers were coming from the occupants. |

| skylark, i just moved here ( back to my parents house) 9 months ago, i was across town for 12 years. something i read says that mold can 'stick' with you and your stuff, so im wondering if maybe i brought it from there, but the other day i looked in the attic , my dads favorite place to store toilet paper/costco bulk things...( this makes me crazy! we have room for toilet paper without having to get in the attic) its so much black insulation, the once yellow covering thing around furnace unit is brown/black, the dust on a pipe up there is like 3 inches thick!! this place gets so dusty so fast, he says hes gonna call exterminator to tent the house. but im thinking the problem with dust is still gonna be there, so im looking for someone that cleans that sort of thing without being expensive...

| I didn't see an answer to your question about where morgs is mentioned, I may have overlooked it. However, it is in the 2nd article. You scroll down to the "M" category. However, here is an excerpt from article: Some complaints are listed here without any solid medical evidence regarding causation, if the complaints have been expressed to us by people investigating mold-related illness or building mold contamination. Such data should be considered for research purposes and not medically authoritative This is really interesting. janedoe, our basement is loaded with morg fibers hanging in chain and weblike form. It fros that way; on human bodies and on its own. This is my belief anyway. I've seen it in our garage. Last summer I sprayed our garage with an anti fungus spray. "M" was hanging from the bottom of our overhead garage door. You could see t as the door opened. The product I bought and still do is called, as on label: simple green d (Pro 3) yes it has chemicals in it but I don't care because it did clear the stuff up. The cobweb like stuff is on our house too. I spray that and all cracks. They are not spider webs. Thet are "M" fibers growing and encasing as they do a human body.

| Hi Guys, just read above and found interesting as to my own story. My symptoms started about 6 months ago after moving in to a new flat, and worsened about 3 months ago after moving to a new room. I always used this link but the flat does indeed have aloft - also when we moved in there we had to clead, gues what - LOADS of these strange cobweb type things from the floor etc - never thought anything of it untill now. Anyway i went into the walk in cupboard in my room for the first time about a week ago - the walls are THICK in black toxic mould - so i have also been living in an airborne mould environment. I know it is airborne because i definately see my belongings with this mould/biofilm building up on it - TV, computer, etc etc which invariably ends up on my face and hands generally. I lived in damp & mould about 3 years ago at uni and got a rash and some odd symptoms, most of that went away when i sorted it but some lingered and i just never peiced the puzzle together - for 3 years i have just lived with IBS and a few other weird things and got on with it. Its all a bit too much of a coincedence for me. My questions from here though are; 1. how imprtant is it to keep everything superclean etc in your living environment to not let this progress & stay somewhere near well? i suppose i am still a bit in denial, havent dropped things that i should have to deal with this and just dont have enough hours in the day to have even started to clean...! I dont even know what to clean it with..! 2. If i up sticks and move - is it likely that i am just going to take this with me especially if it is on my belongings? It seems at the moment that the only way to try and beat it is to live outside, naked untill i can expell the worst of it - then move somewhere far away and start from nothing...! haha ;-) I just feel that this has robbed me of my ambition and general fun in life - i need some kind of hope that i can live and be normal like before (well, i suppose i still live a pretty normal life but can sense it's impending halt). Putting a stop to the rapid loss of hair all over my head and face as well as getting rid of the biofilm would be a start. I am only a young'un and dont have too much money - i can only afford to use resources on this for as long as i am working and i can tell you - i cant see myself holding my job down for long... Cheers guys |
