Default Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising

Here is a link to the Federal Trade Commission for those who are intersted. it's a great way to determine the legitimacy of a product or it's claims.

Federal Trade Commission

Dr Staninger might want to read the followiing;

PREPARED STATEMENT OF THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION on ADVERTISING TRENDS AND CONSUMER PROTECTION

Quote:
III. Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising

Broadly defined, endorsements and testimonials encompass any advertising messages that consumers are likely to believe reflects the honest opinion, beliefs, findings, or experience of a party other than the sponsoring advertiser. Endorsements should not contain express or implied representations that would be deceptive, or could not be substantiated, if made directly by the advertiser.
Quote:
One seller also was charged with deceptive use of a consumer testimonial about the product’s efficacy because the ad failed to disclose the connection between the endorser and the company:
Quote:
Deceptive advertising cases have always been at the core of the commission’s consumer protection law enforcement agenda. In 1972, however, the FTC revolutionized advertising law when it held that an advertiser violates the FTC Act by making an affirmative product claim
without having a reasonable basis of support for that claim.

Default Willard Water

Willard water is one of the useless scams solicited by Dr Staninger and associates, here is the truth about this bunk product.

Quote:
Catalytic Willie

Yet another product ("Catalyst-altered water.. a more efficient form of water") is supposed to have been discovered accidentally by a late John Willard, a chemistry professor at the South Dakota School of Mines. (It would be interesting to see if there is any evidence for this!) It's hard to believe that a legitimate chem prof would promote such bunk.

"...the molecular structure of H2O is altered by a catalyst. As a result, the catalyst altered water ([CACA]) acts as a normalizer on all living things not in a healthy state. "

Maybe this guy could do it, but no other chemist has ever succeeded in altering the structure of a small molecule like H2O, and no evidence for this remarkable feat is offered. The current "official" Web site contains a transcript of a fawning "60 minutes" interview with the old codger himself, who describes his woundrous "catalyst" as a "calcium magnesium polysilicate polymer with castor oil" (Yuk!)

It won't be Frey Vs Staninger, it will be the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION Vs Integrative Health Systems/Dr Staninger/ Healing grapevine/ and crew. This is a very serious situation that many people here apparently just don't grasp, there are federal and state laws being broken and people being defrauded here, I personally have an issue with that.

Default More on Willard Water

The Federal Trade Commision filed a COMPLAINT FOR PERMANENT INJUNCTION AND OTHER EQUITABLE RELIEF against NU-GEN NUTRITION, INC., VITASALUS, INC., and ROBERT CLOUTIER, for engaging in deceptive acts and practices and false advertising in connection with the advertising, marketing, and sale of products purporting to treat, prevent, or cure cancer.

Quote:
Defendants also have marketed Cantron as part of their "Phase I Wellness
Program." The "Phase I Wellness Program" is a package of products sold on their Internet website. The package includes Cantron, Enzyme Formula, Willard's Water Concentrate, Ellagenol, OPC Formula, Ultramarine Shark Liver Oil Gelcaps, and Colostrum. The "Phase I Wellness Program" is sold with either an eight-ounce or 32-ounce bottle of Cantron and costs $165.49 and $273.49, respectively, plus shipping and handling.

Hi Steve

Not DR. S here

This is a serious situation Steve. All due respect, it just isn't as simple as WHAT YOU SAY Steve. I believe it's serious for anyone to engage in those practices but don't publicly jump on every discussion unless I agree with what a person states 100% and have the facilities to stand behind it. A person can agree with you and have the same concerns without publishing about it. You and I tend to agree on alot of things we just don't know it because we are different people.

Your Willards Water example used here, continue with caution. You may very well be addressing different products. One of her products (not willards water) I happened across by accident. It addressed bacteria and was tested in an Asian country. I may be able to find it with intensive back-step tracing. That concept, I would vouch for not even knowing anough about the product because I believe it has potential. If one offered it for $30 and another offered it for $200, I might talk about it publicly on a forum to help the unsuspecting. Still, part of me thinks each of us need to find out things for ourselves being our own informed consumer.

You Steve, contribute to us being informed and from there ...........

Look let's get something straight, I am not blowing smoke up someones as s here, I am as serious as a heart attack with this issue and am filling a complaint with the FTC at this very moment. There are laws clearly being violated here, I will give you specific case where ther is no arguement, Staninger has a common business interest with MPS Global Inc by way of their involvement together in the opening of Morean, a Far-Infrared Radiant Heat Health & Toxicology Center, Dr Staninger admits that she only endorses one manufacturer of far infrared equipment for the treatment of people with fibers and that is MPS Global Inc. but she claims that reason is because another manufacturers product might cause the fibers to melt inside of you, she fails to disclose the fact that she shares this common financial interst with MPS Global Inc at Morean, this is against the law, period.

So Seriously, if your not going to get involved and help to stop these kinds of practices then just stay out of the way okay.

Steve, how have you connected these websites and this name to cureme? (to clarify for others, not a Staninger groupie). I moved this question here as I see you have also posted the information here, but I still don't understand how you reached this conclusion. There must be some steps I am not seeing, especially the one which would connect cureme to a name.
