YES! I have only recently discovered I have M. I did not think it was related at all until oI saw your post. Two things: 1. A few times a day I can hear my husbands voice talking like he is somewhere in the house even though he is at work. The first time it happened I actually thought he came home early and I went looking for him. 2. I always think I hear a radio on with people singing chorale music in very nice harmony! Today coming home from Walgreens I did not have the radio on- but heard music again though I didn't recognize the song. Then I turned off the AC and the music stopped. I think background mechanical noise is what is doing it like the refrigerator and AC. Not sure what is making me hear husband's voice. I have been in a sort of fog-like disbelief because of all my lesions and things I've seen under my microscope, but I didn't think I would also go crazy so fast!

This is interesting about the auditory hallucinations. I don't have it now but once about 20 years ago I woke up in the middle of the night and heard what sounded like beautiful Celtic music in 4-part harmony. I sat listening to it for a long time, was wide awake. I never did find a source. It was very strange. I was very lonesome at the time, had just been transferred across country where I knew no one and hadn't yet made friends. I'd just lost my mother and it was the Christmas season. I was a mess. I chocked it up to my emotional state and it never happened again. It was pretty nice while it lasted, though! My typing and my speech have become dyslexic. I reverse letters when I type or drop entire syllables. I'm editing more and more posts for word corrections.

One thing that was happening to me during sleep, was I thought I heard a loud bang that would wake me up and of course it was nothing. My husband next to me was peacefully asleep. This happened quite a few times.

The auditory hallucinations are related to the neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters being the balance of dopamine, seretonin, epi, and norepi. Problems with the amine oxidases will have a direct effect on these catecholines, producing auditory effects. More on the epsom salt baths. Those in which experience a reaction to epsom salt, like fatigue, headaches, etc., need to stop doing it. Reason being is that they are most likely having a problem with sulfite toxicity in which their body cannot convert sulfites to sulfates, and then be excreted or they have to much going down that pathway in which their body cannot handle. There was a time in which an epsom salt bath was relaxing and made me feel good. But when I got sick, they made me even sicker. Frito

I used to think I was a synesthete; seemed to be when I was younger. Tastes, smells, even relationships had shapes and music always had color, especially symphonic, which felt like waves of color. If something wasn't "round", it wasn't totally right. If food didn't taste round, there was something missing or too much of something else. I don't experience life that way so much anymore. Maybe the aging process does something to dull that perception. I still have an article I pulled out of Psychology Today 25 years or so ago. Up until I read that article, I thought it was normal and everyone was that way.
