What do others use when they dry off from shower or bath?

I used paper towels until I saw moving fibers in it; after all, paper is made from wood and we have spraying with fungus in my area so I'm sure it is more profound elsewhere. Trees could also be affected which would explain paper towel fibers moving.

I have used a blow dryer which I put some filter covering over the intake end, but then I can't rub off the gunk. Which brings to mind another question. Is wiping and not patting just spreading "things" elsewhere on one's body?

Yesterday I used paper towel again and I noticed after pattiong dry that a stickylike slime remains on body, but some can be rubbed off until it begins to dry and harden again.

Thoughts-ideas-speculation?

Hi Posey,

I used to use paper towels at the start, but realised they are sitting in the bathroom as food.

I'd suggest a micro-fibre towel or I find tea towels are easily washable. Wiping draws more out for me. Also by putting talc on and rub skin heaps more ...they come out further.

Hi Jo,

Likewise, I now only use plain white tea towels, which can be washed and bleached easily in the morning and evening after bathing. I also use a cream after first drying (as the critters/fibres or whatever, seem to come out of skin in certain places (in my case mostly shoulders, hips and face) after about 10 mins after soaking in bath. I rub well to get them out of skin and then rinse again well and then apply good medicated cream, DSP or similar. I have also found an old fashioned remedy in England called Zambuk, and this has helped with a couple of spots on chin and seems to draw things out of face and heal. It has some very good ingredients such as Eucalyptus oil Thyme oil, camphor pine oil beeswax etc. It is in a handy small tin and works out quite expensive but just another ointment that might help us.

God bless,
Cayly

The towels they suggest sound good. But in my case the paper towels worked fine. BUT I have been SO CAUTIOUS w paper towels and w toilet paper. I keep them in an uninfected area and sealed in plastic. If I accidentally drop them I throw them away or use them to wipe things off the floor.

Mine have not been infected, other than the times it touched the floor. I won't even leave them sitting out in my car, and wont let them touch the car carpet, even inside a bag. I have not had time to fully disinfect my car yet. My home is good, but I still see some little hairs occasionally in the car, plus I stored some infected stuff in the trunk.

but using those precautions the paper towels have been fine for me. I do have two cotton towels I occasionally use. I wash them separately from anything else, bleach them hardcore and keep them isolated. They are typically pretty ok to use also.
