| I cannot say that what I saw was a ball of fiber. At one point some of these black spots came out of one of those mysterious brown spots we sometimes get on the skin. I had put one of my herbal cancer creams on the brown spot which itched and then added a water tight bandage. In a few hours all these little tiny black bugs came out to the surface of the skin. These were not fiber balls as they moved and were very hard to catch at the time. IMO for some the black or brown specks are some kind of bug under the skin. I do not have those now so perhaps they were killed off by the ivermectin or herbal wormers. No way to know for sure what bug or if only a stage of a parasite. Without identification or testing everything is unproven and boils down to personal speculation of one type or another. And please remember that despite the continuing ads here on the forum by a group of people for one particular seller of mold stat there are other sellers of this product on the internet. And that particular brand of cleaner may even be found locally on your Lowes store shelf. Also there is more than one type of mold control and disinfectant that is out there. Many others are also as effective. Some of these other cleaners are cheaper than mold stat and may even be safer. And BTW no product used to clean the house will cure M symptoms. Three gallons of undiluted cleaner? Preparing for Armageddon? LOL quote=Phatgrower;82932]Those black specks are usually balls of fiber. I have had bumps that periodically bit me. When the bumps start to bite hard, I can rub in salt, oils, ointments and eventually pull out tyhe huge fiberball that was biting me. I have had a hair that I pulled from my head rotate 15 times while it sat on the table. I can't repeat this yet, but I know that when I sat that hair on the table, it rotated and went through 10 or 15 turns before it stopped.[/quote]

| I woke up in the middle of the night with a compelling urge to check the web about Morgellons news. (well that and a new pimple was on my forearm) and I found this AMAZING NEWS! FINALLY, some actual reason to get excited about the news! Well, it turns out that I can't post URL's yet but just check Yahoo for Morgellons news. This is such a great development that I'm sure this news will spread quickly and someone will post the link here. |

| “The unusual filaments associated with Morgellons are likely composed of keratin and demonstrated photographic evidence that fibers stem from both pavement epithelial cells and hair follicles, tissues where keratinocytes are the predominant cell type,” stated Dr. Middelveen. According to Middleveen “these findings conclusively debunk the erroneous theory that this disease is caused by delusional beliefs and that patients self-implant fibers or are intentionally mutilating themselves”. A second publication related to this subject authored by Middelveen, Stricker and other collaborating researchers, is currently in-press and scheduled to be published soon. another snippet.... there is evolving evidence that Morgellons fibers have physical properties consistent with keratin. Keratin and chitin are the strongest known biofibers, and keratin shows no cellular structure. Likewise Morgellons fibers are very strong and show no cellular structure, consistent with keratin filaments. They are colored blue, red, purple, and black, which are all colors found naturally in keratin. Solvents have not been able to extract pigments. Keratin can demonstrate different colors including blue, red, and purple, not from pigment production but from microscopic refractive structures that produce constructive interference of light diffracting from structural layers.95 Bacteria have been shown to influence and enhance color intensity in keratin.96 The fibers demonstrate a “metallic-looking” sheen, consistent with keratin and iridescent coloring. Morgellons fibers fluoresce under ultraviolet light, a property that has been observed to occur with keratin fibers.97,98 Thus keratin composition may explain the “mysterious” fibers in Morgellons disease. The etiopathogenesis of these fibers remains to be determined. |

| Here is a link to the most significant release yet. This should truly help to put an end to much of the speculation and claims of DOP. OMICS Publishing Group | Full-text | Morgellons Disease: A Chemical and Light Microscopic Study |

| There may be a connection to tics and lyme disease but then NOBODY can prove the association. For one what in the world does a tick bite look like if it does NOT present a BULLS EYE RASH. Most of the people that assume tick bites because of camping or gardening, most times the tick BITE is not a bite at all. These little tiny creatures burrow under the skin and take a blood meal, so, in the cases of affliction they will not be seeing red spots a plenty, what you will see is a black dot that has a redness around it. The fact of the matter would more likely also have the BULLS EYE RASH along with the inflictors bite. I knew a fellow once that got lyme, he did not have a bullseye rash that could be seen, it was inside his ear, he almost died. The test itself for lyme is representative of MANY issues, this is why it is so inconclusive at best. There are a small pile of spirochetes related disease this test may also react on, cat scratch fever, take a read on this one, it relates to FORT BRAG DISEASE, and it is connected to jaundice or just lets call it darkening of the skin which MANY of us have, a teacher asked my daughter if she had a ASIAIAN parent at one time, she also had keratosis at birth which was mentioned here, YOU SEE throughout my 40 years I have not stood by and not catorgorized the aspects of this disease as it progressed without noticed in myself, my child, and the population. Leptospirosis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Here is one spirochetes disease and the rest to follow, we have no positive answer to the fact that we are not exactly displaying LYME disease from these LYME tests, Elighten yourselves on this form of affliction, you may be surprised at what you learn Epidemiology and clinical similaritie... [Rev Infect Dis. 1989 Sep-Oct] - PubMed - NCBI All of these disease MAY react in some band of the so called Lyme disease tests. Look up false positives for any f these tests and you will see what I mean, Lyme Disease Test FRITO can expound upon this way more than I can because she knows much more about the subject. If you could Frito would you enlighten. HOT TIP, ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO GET PRINTOUTS OF EVERY TEST, KEEP YOUR HISTORY AT HOME, IF YOU CHANGE DOCTORS MAKE THEM DO PRINTOUTS OF YOUR RECORDS, THESE TEST RESULTS ARE NEEDED MORE THAN NOT, IF YOU GO FOR SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY YOU WILL NEED THEM TO PROVE ONGOING DESTRUCTION OF YOUR BODY. WHY DO THIS, DOCTORS WILL THROW AWAY YOUR RECORDS WHEN YOU STOP GOING TO THEM. MY HISTORY OF 40 DOCTORS OVER THE YEARS IS GONE!!! |

| It will be wonderful if these actually do dissolve the DOP diagnosis. This is so excitind I wish I could take it to every Dr. I have ever been to. BTW, I had a visit with my PCP this morning and I haven't seen her since Jan. '12. She told me how my skin looked much better. She also told me that she read articles where for some people the disease just burns itself out or for some reason the immune system begins to kick in. I had first asked her if she was a true believer in it and she said yes but that the problem is that the pathogen is unknown.
