Some of the most popular natural deodorants are the "crystal" deodorant stones and sprays. But most people don't know that these crystal deodorant products contain aluminum.

The crystal deodorant stones are made from alum. The most widely used form of alum used in the personal care industry is potassium alum. The full chemical name of potassium alum is potassium aluminum sulfate.

The reason that most people try to avoid aluminum in deodorant is because of its possible link to Alzheimer's disease. There is some strong evidence of a link -- for instance, in 1988 a truck driver accidentally dumped 20 tons of aluminum sulfate in to a town's drinking water.

Now, over 20 years later, they are finding a higher incidence of Alzheimer’s in the people of this town.

I've long suspected them to be dangerous.
Isn't it strange the way Breast Cancer has increased ten-fold.
To determine if you have Breast cancer they removed a lump from your armpit .........

All these things we use on our skin are cancer promoters.

At one point in my legal career I was involved with an enormous class action lawsuit blaming breast implants for cancer. In reviewing dozens of women's case histories, I was struck with how often the breast cancer started near the armpit area (around 75%). At that time, I privately concluded that a great deal of breast cancers are caused by under arm deodorant use. Breast implants are also a bad idea if one wishes to have a long and healthy life.

If that were true, though... more men would have breast cancer as well.

I think the breasts are susceptible prolly in part because of the aluminum association, but more because of the hormones involved and the weakness in acidity in the area which either attracts or turns into the fungi.

I'm not going to stop using my deodorant stone & I'm not going to a zinc based over-the-counter deodorant that has perfumes and who know what else added... I've used a stone for over three years now & it works great.

How many of us cook using aluminum foil?

I will ask my ND and my lymph drainage therapist about aluminum in the stones & will get back to ya'll.

Oh yeah, I mentioned that milk of magnesia works well as a deodorant.
