| found this on yahoo answers our lovely Jo answered to the lady asking in regards to morgellons>> It does exist and is a physical disease thought to be caused by an infectious process. Here's the latest published study: http://www.morgellons.org/docs/Case_Series.pdf I run Morgellons UK and we believe that its caused by little fly larvae. Our report is here: Close associations: Micro-Myiasis & Morgellons Disease 5 months ago but then online dermatologist answered it >> The disease exists, as I've had patients with it. However, it is my feeling that the disease is a psychiatric one, and not a skin one. The "fibers" that were brought in to me were merely crusted bits of skin, when examined under the microscope. Antipsychotic medicines seem to help. 5 months ago zitdr_02Add to my ContactsBlock UserMember since: March 22, 2009 22,371 points Level 6 56% Best answer Skin Conditions About me: I'm a practicing dermatologist and enjoy helping others with their serious skin problems. Remember that dermatology is a visual science, so that if you request help with a condition, please include a clear photo of the problem. this made me puke note the diff in stating dermatology is visual thing but then he or she relies on his or hers feelings in regards to what morgellons is - note that this was considered to be the best answer on yahoo - ..................................xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxx |

| How does this guy who probably ate paste in the second grade know better than the forensic crime lab who SPECIALIZE in identifying hairs and fibers? They said it is NOT just a piece of fabric or hair that we are pushing into our skins (I deserve high kudos if I am pushing them into my skin because they all are in unbroken skin). This guy is unqualified and should be called out. (I can really see him, sitting there in grade school eating paste. A kid tells on him and the teacher makes him stop. Then as soon as she is not looking he starts eating it again. When he got older his parents said he had to go to med school and helped pay for it. Another bright thinking "doctor." Sheesh!) EDITED TO ADD: Additionally, these dummy doctors are not qualified to make psychiatric diagnoses. I worked in mental health for years as a program director and in private practice. I dealt daily with ppl suffering from schizophrenia, bi-polar, and various other illnesses involving delusions and hallucinations. They ALWAYS had at least SOME lucid moments. The very Dx of DOP is faulty. In fact, the only criteria are actions a mentally healthy person would take. (I will add though, that I think left untreated too long this disease will affect the brain. I'm not sure if that is only the Lyme or also the M. But it is attacking our nervous system and since "doctors" like that guy make it impossible to even get examined physically, then it is only obvious in some cases the infection will lead to further problems related to the nervous system.) | Hey, here's one for ya... A friend told me she has been having recurring pain in her abdomen just above the navel. She has a dog (one possible source of parasites) and she said she ate a piece of carrot cake she bought (a slice) and felt ill and had cramps after eating half...then ate the other half next day and felt ill and had cramps (hey, go get another slice and let's try this again!)...so her doctor ordered CAT SCAN and some other ex ray to add to her already majorly stored uranium in her body. I told her before to be tested for parasites since she always seemed to have stomach issues the doctor can't figure out. So she asks him to order test and he says, "if you don't have diarrhea, you don't have parasites". ![]() Kritts Last edited by Kritters; January 15th, 2010 at 11:24 AM. |
