Is there a way to tell the difference between real acne and Morgellons induced "pimples"?

Hi Dave,

What I find is this.... if the area of Morg pimples/spots/white heads/black heads are pinched carefully, it will cause a disproportionate amount of pain deeper under the pimple.

Dave -

"Pimples" seem to change pretty quickly from day to day, heal, and go away. I haven't had a new Morgellons lesion in over 2 years, but I've had a couple of pimples.
What I find that is really tricky is bug bites, especially mosquito bites. I play golf (here in FL), and sometimes am still out at dusk. Last time I played (Fri), I got 3-4 bites. As has always been the case for me, they don't start itching for more than 24 hours. Then they are itchy almost a week. Whenever I get one, I always say "I wonder if...." But so far, it's plain and simple bug bites.

Hi Dave,

The difference to me is no difference. I think acne is really a lesion caused by fungus and some bacteria. Or could be a cutaneous virus.

If it gets a blackhead with underlying puss, it's just probably a 'pimple' caused by over-active sebaceous glands and sometimes hormones are involved.

I no longer go by text-book definition on most things after learning so much as a result of getting these organism inflictions.

Of course doctors hadn't told us that most dandruff is actually fungus. Or that desenex for baby rash is actually for FUNGUS. Just so much we are finding out that they want to keep cryptic so THEY can make the money off of expensibe drugs.

If you squeeze and no puss comes out, it's a lesion caused by Morgs or other skin/system invasions.

Hi, I just wanted to add that PanOxyl which is 10% Benzoyl Peroxide
acne treatment in a tube will help prevent a certain type of acne or m lesion.
It does not seem to help if the lesion is already there,But if you feel one below the surface, it helps that kind. The other night again I felt a lump the size of a penny on my chin starting. I rubbed it on a few times and It's nearly gone. I have dodged many of that kind by using PanOxyl.I read other testimonies of people having the same luck.
