Default These are the bugs living inside me.

I finally figured it out. I have honestky never had fibers but Morgies are the only people who have symptoms like mine.

Thought it was phorids but they are too big. I saw them come out of my skin en masse once when I took a very hot shower and slathered myself w vapor rub from head to toe. At the time I also saw black specks, white goo, black debris, tan specks, tiny worms in all stages, black tar-like goo and soggy rice grain-looking things. I put that stuff on because I though I was being stung 24/7 by some kind of unseen insect and repellants werent helping. I read insects hate camphor smells so I got desperate and rubbed it all over hoping for relief. I have honestly never had fibers.

They are called trichogramma and are known to be the smallest flies. The females have stingers just like fungus gnats do, but get this, most entomologists have trouble identifying them. They are only identifiable if they are male and apparently those are rare.

Supposedly they only inject eggs into other insects eggs but they have been injecting them into my skin for years.

Once they inject the eggs, the larvae hatch in a day and then they start to eat the host (hence my track marks). A few days into eating they start to release dark melanin granules and goo that look like ink. And then finally they burst out of the host by chewing tiny holes thru them (I get tiny puncture-like wounds now and then).

This week I had them hatching from my face. Since I Have had this, I have started to get what people call "ice pick" scars all over my cheeks. I thought it was my acne but I hadnt had flareups while it all came to be. Then one day while I was doing a chemical peel, I saw tiny white worms trying to come out of my pores. They came out to breath and then quickly retreated.

My toddler also has trackmarks and my husband has tiny puncture wounds and black specks coming out.

I still have no explanation of the thorn-like things that have scratched and torn thru my skin, ( but I think its them moving in their cocoons which are spiky).

here are closeups of their eggs (the infamous black specks) , what they look like when you catch them, and what they look like closeup when alive.

here the texas A&M university outlines their life cycle. Wonder why there were outbreaks of people w black tarry sweat in their vicinity?
The Trichogramma Manual

and here theres more info Trichogramma Wasps

Plus I found this on a site that sells them (they are released by the millions yearly and have no predators, joy!)

it says you will never see them in action because theyre too small and quick. huh!

plus they seem to have ties to fungi...more joy!

Only thing is...how to stop them from wanting my family and I as hosts? How do I kill their larvae?

Certainly other morgies have mentioned an infection involving those minute wasps. Just want to query with you morgie lady, whether you've had trouble with moths? It's just that I've got a feeling that trichogramma wasps are a secondary problem to moth myiasis.

Link below lists all the things I've found from journals that kill flies and larvae or help with myiasis.

Jo, I dont know about the moths but I may have just never noticed them. Its def a possibility...afterall, had I not randomly slathered myself with Vicks, right after having a steaming hot shower, I wouldve never known I had these flies under my skin! Its really a fluke I saw them.

I wouldve just spent the rest of my life thinking I was just "imagining" the biting and crawling....and when it came to, my ENTIRE body was infested--which means they had been breeding on me for quite some time. If that kind of extensive infestation went unnoticed, lord knows what else I havent seen.

What makes you think moths have something to do with it? Id love to hear your theories. This is confusing and we need all the help we can get. :/

That chart is eye opening for sure. There is most def an element of myiasis w many of us morgies...along w a clusterf*ck of other gross things. *sighs*

I kept reading about fungus gnats here but they also seemed much bigger than what I had seen. But then again we have such a plethora of insects inside us. maybe the real question is what the hell is attracting them? back to square one, as usual.

Actually now that I think of it I havent gotten fibers per se but definitely have some strange white hairs with white goo at the base growing out of different areas of my body. The bugs def dont explain that.

My fibers are only visible with a microscope. Many others are the same.

Same here - I used a 200x Eyeclops that projects onto a TV screen and that is when I saw them for the first time.

Mary L. never saw the fiber bundles in Drew's lesion until she magnified it.

Is it possible that while the originals are microscopic, the macroscopic fibers and what consume and take over our hair in different places are those mixed with fungus?

So many thoughts....so little time......

That's interesting. I can see my filaments if I brush my clothes in bright sun light, or in halogen lighting. I can also see them on any black surface. Usually between 1-2mm in length. I always find the red ones are longer.

Morgie Lady, if you saw the worms from your face, i think they would be too big to be trich. wasp larvae. Quite afew morgies have problems with moths and moth flies. These can cause myiasis and could carry the wasps within them, which is more probable than the wasps having a vertebrate parasitic existance.

Have you got any sample snaps of adults?

BTW fungus gnat adults dont have stingers.

cheers

Jo, what I have on my face and body right now is little cocoon-like things. I run my hands over my face constantly and for a few days of the month (this usually occurs after days of crawling) I run my hands over my face and come up with several little things that look like rolled up dead skin...but they are cocoons, i am pretty sure as I usually start to feel biting and things flying around me around the days I discover them. This used to happen every 2 weeks but now its happening weekly. I usually remove them and an hour later I come up with more.

But when I did the chemical peel I saw tiny white worms. Thats something else then huh?

What I have picked from nose and eyes are teensy weensy little cylindrical transparent slimy things which I have thought are the worms. they keep their shape even when you press, unlike boogers. they are so tiny you can miss them easily if you dont look extra extra closely. Those are another kind too, now that I think of it?

Actually now that you are having me detail it all, I am probably infested w something bigger because i did see slightly larger white worms AND some w black heads and egg-like things lodged in the base of my hair strands at one point (i thought it was body lice but the rest of the things I saw and felt didnt add up) but then again back then when I pressed my skin in certain sore spots, I would come up with white goo too.

Is it that I have an ecosystem under my skin? Ugh.

Also I dont know if I am crazy, but I have observed what seems like dark brown or black debris/flakes jumping off my daughter when I go to wash her hair. I remember seeing them jump on her from the carpet in our old home. They look similar to flea cocoons and jump like fleas, except fleas arent supposed to jump when they are in that stage.

Am I going nuts? i saw the same kind of dark flakes come out of my skin. And I have seen the rolled up skin/cocoon-like thingys jump off my daughters head as well whereas on me they seem immobile.

I guess I have seen so many different things come off of us I am confusing myself and others in the process. It is difficult to put a name or category on things you didnt even know existed.

Also, Jo I se fibers in my environment but Im never sure if they are coming from me or other things. They very well could be coming from me, afterall the white see thru hairs on my body look a whole lot like some of the stuff I see floating around. The funny thing about them is when I pull them out they never hurt like my other regular hairs...nor do they have a bulb at the end like a normal hair. Instead they have tiny white goo balls around the area where the skin surface hits them and nothing at the base. wtf is that?
