I saw this a couple of years ago; had completely forgotten about it.

Honestly, I don't know what to make of it. It starts in 2003, and she stops adding to it in 2007. At some point she makes the transition from believing she is being poisoned with chemicals by the maintenance crew to talking about Morgellons.

It really seems that she has M. I just can't figure out what really happened there. Were those smells actually part of an already present Morgellons?

It is real creepy, though. I feel sorry for this woman and wonder what may have happened to her.

there is something about smell definitelly as in my case whole room had such an odd odour ( more like a chemical smell not like a smell of mold or fungus) before i got sick and what a strange coincidence my landlord was coming into the property whenever he liked doing God knows what - and in the end i ended up having all my items stolen by him and thrown out - do not u think we r inventing these stories????to gain what????? really really strange things r happening out there...its is just not right....

I remember that smell too..it was distintive,,,and I smoke,,BUT do remember a certain smell I had not experienced before...This was shortly arter I "activated" the "m" in me,,with the peroxide test,,,and live ones started comin out....
Definatly a new biological process going on to make that smell...
One thing that stood out most is the fact that she claimed to have changed the air filter and started getting a little better,,which does make sense,,as the filter was probably loaded with fibers,,spores ,,ect,...and by changing it ,,,at least she stopped the overload,,,and constant bardment...
With some thing like "this " happening to her,,and no help,,or answers from anyone,,I can see how she could get paranoid,,fast...

I wonder if the previous tenant had the M,,and loaded up the apartment..
It sure makes ya think about renting an apartment,,,or just staying in a hotel for that matter...

What happened to you Dzana ,,was just plain criminal!!!
That would have flew on my watch.....I wished I could"ve been there for ya,,,You would have got your stuff back,,or a little street justice would surely be dispensed....
Maybe a little "karmha" will come his way,,,know what I mean??
I do hope your doin better..and I do believe ya...a friend of mine had the same thing happen to him,after taking a vacation,,he got back and all his stuff was gone.
His rent was FULLY paid till the end of the year,,but the landlord said he abandoned the apt.HE WAS ON VACATION!! The landlord then told him he wanted storage money,for his stuff in another apartment!! When ten big dudes strolled into the office,with him,,we got his stuff back,,and some compensation too...
Beware of storage places too,,,,shady managers pull the same stunts too,,only they auction your stuff off ,and say it was stolen.They caught a guy here doin just that,,and had been doin it for years..

Anyway..
At least the woman(Jaqueline) was reseachin on the right track though..I agree with the ending..

Oh, I don't think either of you are making it up! What I was questioning is her connecting the smell in her apt to being deliberately poisoned.

As others have said, a chemical smell often preceded M outbreak. Not saying that chemicals definitely were not present, but I wonder if the smell may either have been coming from her herself (as part of the beginning of M), or if M was causing a disruption in the olfactory system. We know that M has neurological effects, and this could possibly be one of them.

Of course, we also know that chemical exposure can bring on M.

It's just very curious.

PS - There are absolutely some unscrupulous landlords who will go in your residence and go through your stuff, sometimes stealing things! People who are missing things have set up video cameras and actually catch the landlord (or maybe the maintenance people) in the act.

SS, I had that too cos after so many weeks of arguing and knowing that something is not right in that property I was starting to think that I have been deliberately poisoned - i was linking all these things - gas leaks, landlord behaviour, bed matress that i slept on etc in order to make sense out of it _ why i was infected??? when something is wrong from day 1 and landlord is playing stupid - but what also made me sick is beahviour of other tenants - we were all in the same boath- and all of them were against landlord attitude but noone had guts to do anything about it they were all one personality in front of landlord and another when he was not there - what kind of human beings r out there - is this how it works in every "damaged' environment - so this is probably why I was thrown out- evicted illegally while being sick - and police they r bunch of dumbos in this area- they simply refused to believe that it was landlord- since when thiefs remove everything including toilet papers, diplomas etc your whole life removed??? thiefs>?? lol where is common sense, where is logic....this life is not worth living it is not just dieases we r dealing with it is more than that .....

I just cant get over these things I never will I wondered for some time if the silent gas leaks that was in the house for some time after i moved in - whether Morgs tend to accumulate in such gas leaking condition???? and once i moved in they went into my belongings - had a friend coming once as I
started getting lesion and as she took the A-z London map into her hands she noticed odd smell and left the book down and it was insane was not smell of the gas nor mold nor fungus but it was all over on every item how can it be - she has no morgellons herself???????/ and other friends who came to see me temporary r still ok noone is infected on the other hand noone slept there or stayed longer period of time - so I do not know- so was it then that just me being there for months and months without knowing what is in there caused first itching for some time then severe eruptions in form of virus.... i was trying to search as in what can penetrate into thiNGS
in such a form AND LEAVE ODOUR- i used to think bird mites - or collembola - or bed bugs but those white papery lint alike organisms looked diff than any of the above - and why only me why not the other tenants it is like my life is goiNg to end like this trying to find the clue what was that - and what is this that is inside of me and eating me... this man x landlord I have heard so far has 6 or 7 properties - how sad and primitive - rich ones r stealing?????I do not understand why the law is not protecting people like me -I grew up in Europe not in Islamabad i grew up surrounded by ppl who knew that communication is the key to many problems - there is no order here no law no respect - it is justa a mess - it is gonna get worse just imagine the impact of it - but it is so obvious my x landlord did it _ why would he then change the locks and give keys to other tenants and not me???? if he did not do it he would have phoned me, ask me etc i do not just walk out i had a contract and seems that toilet loo paper is much more worth than contract I had - i do not get it how they allow ppl like this to be landlords at all - they r being given full permission to do anything they want just because they r owners of the property? such a sad state of affairs

Stop the press, this disease is all about smell, everything smells different, its a musty nasty oder ozzing out of every pore. When I was bed ridden, and didn't know what I had, before the sores. My friends visit was embarrassing because of weird smells. They even told me so. I was incontinate and wore pads that reacked of ammonia, with no control of my bladder, and lungs full of gunk, I was a hot house of smells. I was quite nuts also, my doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong, so I was being treated with steriods, antibiotics, and gastric med's, you name it. I was in a constant state of sweating, bronchial cough so bad, I thought my lungs were coming up. After the leisons opened up, more new smells, like onions in the bath room, from urine. Two yrs. of very active microbes, I was at deaths door, and I stinked to high heaven. Three years now and I can still smell onions in the bathroom, fibres stoping up the sink, oders from the pipes, the crackling sound as I pour hydrogen proxide down the pipes. I cant toss out anymore infested cotton clothing, I'll be bare tushed. So the oders of cleaning soloutions reek in the air, if your not nuts when you begin you will be soon. (NOTE: My situation was NOT done purposely by the landlord, but I think unbeknownst to her she used a toxic substance in the construction.)

I was renting a guest house and hard an incredibly hard time breathing in there for a LONG time leading upt o this.. a couple years at least. THe landlord controlled the air conditioner and simply would not leave it on enough. (HOt hair = more positive ions which hold onto pollutants. Negative ions are better for breathing.)

She had done most of the modeling herself to create taht place. I do NOT think she or anyone was trying to poison me, but I do think something she used or unleashed in that room was very toxic. I was sick from day one in there and it progressively got worse. When I hired a cleaning service as I was moving out they were hacking away in there.

When I first got the very active M I lived in a hotel for 3 months while I was trying to figure out what was going on. Being that the hotel and being in the new place where I now live made an IMMENSE improvement, so I know there was some type of pollutant affecting me there.

I do think that we may experience smells as a neurological reaction as well too though. At first I had a phase where I was smelling burning flesh. And also peanut butter. skurry.

the smells- I was pretty good at them since being a kido all u gotta do is ask my mum eh - and that particular kind of smell i have never ever experienced before - smell of gas yes typical smell of gas leaks very common u can smell it on some London roads as well, houses etc, but this smell that we r referring too is not something only i felt but other ppl who r not having same condition as I do -- and somehow I can feel it now in me it has become me that smell is inside of me - something emits gas internally in my body that is choking me - it is this white organism or whatever is ET, Cyborg fly, nano****ingtech etc etc -- it is not in my mind it is very real it is killing me
