| Probably not my place to start this thread, but I find the interest that Jee's doctor is showing in her biopsy to be very encouraging. The results were "undiagnosed", and they want a bigger biopsy. "Undiagnosed" does not mean "negative" - it means they see something that they cannot identify. Isn't that what we all know to be true, that whatever is going on is not in the traditional medical lexicon? Whoever the pathologist is that looked at the biopsy is on the ball. I had an O & P done in 2007, and trust me, there were so many bizarre things in those samples, a child would have known something wasn't right. Yet it came back "negative". "Negative" meaning there was nothing that whoever looked at it could recognize as eggs or parasites...yet totally ignored the obvious. Jee - is there any way that the next biopsy can be saved after the pathologist looks at it and sent to Dr. Wymore at OSU? He is in the process of having some sophisticated tests run on Morgellons samples to find out exactly what they are. Stuff like shotgun DNA, SEMS, etc - things that would never be done routinely. That is, if it comes back "unidentified" again. Maybe your doctor can call Dr. Wymore and work something out with the pathologist? I know this is asking a lot, but I am so encouraged by a finding like this I hate to see it disappear without an attempt at determining just what this crap is. I made so many mistakes in the beginning, so many important samples were thrown out or not followed up on. Now I don't have anymore debris, etc (I guess I shouldn't complain about having achieved such a degree of recovery!). jee's comments from the shout box: jee she wants a bigger piece, this will be the second biopsy... they could not identify the first... they want a bigger chunck! YAY! ...the first one came back as undiagnosed .... jeegotta do a bigger biopsy! Thanks, Jee - SS |

Catch 22, this thing we want to feel better and cleared but also KNOW what is going on with us, What IS this for sure. I commented on the phone with the doctor that she took the piece on that specific spot that hurt and now it stopped hurting, though the whole arm still feels weird as if I have a web there, pressuring in actually. I have another tinier , not hurtful lesion on the other arm but it does not bother as nearly as much. Not to "scare"the doctor, I will suggest it be saved in case another undiagnose comes about , for further research and will comment on Dr. Wymore OS research, very democraticaly s she won't assume I am completely nuts. My dialog with her is that could be morgellons, which she said upfront she knows nothing about, but could be a series of things too and up to now, I am happy she is on the hunt... to help me find out and has not dismissed me completely as delusional. But I will comment... ( And WILL NOT take a samle of a fabric with me- My clothes are so full of fabric pills!) I spent the last three days washing clothes in the sink, to be able to let it soak it for hours ... I do not have a washing machine at home and is not nice to wash it on the laundromat, I cannot soak them there. Let's see what can be done, I will keep you posted. |

| for the encouraging info SS. I'm glad you posted this. It gives some light of hope. In reality, it seems that no one really cares regarding our own personal Drs. I absolutely refuse to believe they think nothing is going on when there are so many people who have this horrible thing, and it is people from all walks of life. It is so obvious. Even if we all were nuts, it would have nothing to do with the fact that "M" is a real entity of its own. I know Drs. know about dual diagnosis, and even if they think someone is psychotic they still have the responsibility to their patient to check into symptoms reported by a patient. Patients in a psychiatric ward are not immune to all the numerous diseases. Don't misunderstand. I'm being critical of the medical society not "M" patients. Although there may very well be some who have psychiatric issues, maybe even schizophrania, narcicistic, depression, etc., it does not rule out "M". I've had depression before in my life but it has't a thing to do with "M". Lesson Learned: NEVER EVER put depression on a history form. If need be, tell the Dr. down the road. I believe a large part of the responsibility of the cause of depression is in fact due to how some Drs. treat their patients. Mny just plain don't give a hoot and the more they can get in and out in a day means a better review at the end of the year. Of course insurance coverage plays in here too, treament is dependent upon how much insurance pays and what is left for the patient to pay. If you're on Medicare you may as well just stay home.

| I wonder if a doctor trying to analyze a biopsy would be able to speak to the technician doing the Morgellons lab testing for the CDC. If one could pinpoint the Army pathology unit, possibly one could get connected directly, simply by stating they're a doctor. Hopefully, the technician, whether or not they realize they shouldn't be talking to this doctor, would be willing to give some pointers on identifying the bug (or knows a private lab that can). I've occasionally gotten past security in the State Dept. and elsewhere by just being confident and calling a cog in the machine that doesn't expect to be called. Usually they presume they're dealing with an insider. Sometimes they suspect differently, but are sympathetic and figure they can always say later they presumed you were an insider. |
