May I ask, how long have you known that you have it?

I'm certain my symptoms started about 10 years ago, but doctors didn't know what they were seeing.

I had the first really evident signs of it in December of 2007... a gradual building up to an explosion from my head in June of 2008... I still have ear lesions that I never got under control... I keep looking and searching...

I had a very small patch of 'eczema' to appear in one ear around 1997 or so... about the same time - felt as if I had parasites, did an O&P, nothing showed up... then I got IC treatments for over a year... which is now being looked at as possibly being related?... I had a period of minutes where I lost my vision entirely... etc., etc.

It seems that the symptoms are varied and progress for some - over years?... and doctors usually don't know what is causing the symptoms of your complaints - into eventually full blown evident Morgellons...

I have a small patch too.
On my inner left calf.
I've had it for maybe a week and a half.

The itching started a few days ago.

Your family and friends can NOT HELP THE INFECTION so do not confide in any of them, you will be saving YOU and THEM headaches. I want you to know first, they will think your crazy, then they will demand doctor help(which there is not much use, in fact more harm can come of it) Do TESTING for positive results of others disease found on this site. NEVER treat anything you can not first identify. NO TEST, NO DRUG!!!! The great almighty guessing doctor is worth NOTHING and costs alot.

If you need to interest your family and friends in your problems, which I highly suggest you do not, tell them you have LYME DISEASE.

If you tell them you have MORGELLONS they will walk over to the computer to try to find out if they are gonna catch it, they will read some HORROR stories, fibers, itching, death, hair falling out, spacemen, fish under the skin, crazy, YOU name it. It makes you a 21 century leper.

Baking soda baths, salt baths, epsom salt baths, mineral baths, tea tree oil added to any of these may help your skin.

Read all the sites here BUT remember todays fad may be tomorrows failure, some of these things do not work AT ALL. Some are inexpensive, some are not.

Last but not least, if you decide to have doctors (CURE) you, it can not be done, only let them cure what they can diagnose. Antibiotics and ANY KIND OF STEROIDS can throw you into a tailspin, you most likely will get worse and worse. BE CAREFUL with doctors, after all they are PRACTICING.
