I find it ironic about the iron connection. My well water has high iron content and leaves orange stains in the toilet and sinks. We have a filter but I don't know if that would do anything for iron bacteria. If that is the case, we are infecting ourselves in our coffee, our regular drinking water and with showers.

Hi Krittsi, yes..I think we ALL have an issue with iron overload. Iron overload
and H202 are the cause of Hydroxyl radicals (free radicals) and apoptosis. In a previous post I mentioned the so called 'Fenton's reaction'.

Fenton's reaction

Do you take zinc? Zinc is a antagonist to iron. Take high doses of zinc, app. 100 mg daily, best together with magnesium. Magnesium helps also for anxiety.

Zinc also decreases high levels of copper which I think is another aspect of susceptibility.

I'm pretty certain it was just prior to developing this, but of course, there were so many other possible sources.

This connection to latex, spandex, could also be (as I mentioned prior) the connection to why so many nurses have morgellons. Why not the doctors? (male) Does it possibly have something to do with HORMONES? Now I have to try to find my hormones posts. What a massive jigsaw puzzle this thing is.

Hormones and disease
Good point here, Kritts!

I also think M has something to do with hormones. As we get older our bodies produce more H202 which in the other hand reacts with minerals such as iron.
If we have a high iron intake over our water for example (not to mention iron in our daily diets) plus an iron overload after menopause (no menstruation) I think this leads to an increase of the production of free radicals and the cause of cell death which in the other hand makes us women more susceptible to M than men.

If you are interested, I wrote a blog article according this subject: Morgellons Researchers

Kat, Would you mind sharing the name of the hospital grade detergent you use? Maybe I missed it, I saw the ingredient but not the name itself. Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

My concern is that I am anemic after having a very messed up hormone cycle over the last the last 4 months. Iron deficiency can cause this. But why am I Iron deficient? Is it because that what ever has invaded my body lives off Iron? Or is it because I am Iron deficient? I was able to correct my abnormal cycles with b100 complex and vitamin k. I did also start taking Iron because of the extreme blood loss I was experiencing. Has anyone else experienced this? I am afraid to take too much Iron as I know it can feed Bacteria and cause heart problems.

Hi Kritts,

Has the chlorella helped you? I have a ton of mercury fillings. My gums are pale right now though which is a good sign of anemia.

Look into a filter that deals with high iron content specifically. I know they exist because I researched water filters last year. We are on city water supply which has problems as well but different. We recently had a algae bloom in our supposed pristine water reservoir that they water our slopes with. Talk about odor. Recycled water is so safe! RIGHT!

If I were you I would not drink or make coffee with water that you have not had tested for bacteria load.

When you flush a toilet or use the shower you are also exposing yourself to potential bio aerosols.

since i hardly leave the house anymore, i wear regular comfy, thin type t-shirts, and sweat type pants, not the kind that are hot, the kind like youd wear after swimming, loose cotton.
yeah, hot water and constant laundry is tearing my clothes up too, but keeping my clothes and blankets clean is utmost importance right now...
maybe one of us will win a lottery and take us all on clothes shopping spree..
if i won, id share!!lol

Default Spandex pants

I was wearing black yoga pants last night when I decided to look at my belly with the UV light .
The waistband of the pants caught my eye and I realized there were fibers on it, which led me to shine the light down the legs.
My pants were literally COVERED in luminous lint, fibers, sparkles and specks.

I have noticed that I tend to be more itchy in these spandex clothes (which I love for their comfort and small "footprint" in the washing machine). I hadn't thought to look at them under the black light before. I don't think any amount of laundering will get these fibers off. They are embedded in the fabric.

Funny you mention lint on cloth....

I vacuumed my oriental today and it didn't look any better when I was done...
Had to take it outside on the porch and use a lint brush. That helped but the little white fibers were still lodged in the rug in many areas. I'd still be brushing the thing if I wanted to remove all of them. I think I'm going rug-less.
