| I was doing a search on Fungal Testing and came across a few good articles and good site link. It is surprising, to say the least, [I was pretty scared the other day] how yeast can have fatal outcomes on the human body sometimes. Site Link: I like this site Fungal cultures - MEDgle - search your symptoms, diagnoses, drug, procedures, physicians Biology 2404 ENDOPHTHALMITIS IN PATIENTS WITH DISSEMINATED FUNGAL DISEASE http://www.aosonline.org/xactions/20..._v100_p067.pdf Fungal Blood Culture Requests - To Health Care Providers Instructions for Yeasts, excluding Malassezia species http://www.health.gov.on.ca/english/...SD-022-001.pdf Along with the info they give, I like having them as a reference to look up what I don't know and never heard; the various types of fungal infections. What truly amazes me is with all the available legitimate journal documentation regarding fungus and HYPHAE on patients, why are the derms showing such ignorance or pretending to? I am making an appointment with Patient Business Services where ever I have been for help but was only dismissed as a "nut case", and taking this information with me as well as other legitimate medical documentation I have. I had to deal with a situation once before in which I involved PBS. It seems when you get them involved it gets to be a totaly different approach they take towards you. Things happened fast as I was called by the Head of the particular dept. in issue at the clinic that same day, with a full apology and everything was taken care of to my satisfaction. After all, they do not want bad publicity. I did not do it in an angry manner. I took a couple days cooling off period and wrote down all I wanted to say. I had all my "ducks in a row" when I made an appointment and went in and talked to PBS, telling them how I felt. In my present scenario, I will tell them about how I have been dubbed psychotic, how the Dr. spoke about "M", and that I did not even bring the "M" word up, he did. I think I have other articles about human fungal infections, systemic and otherwise, and they do include hyphae growing from patients. I have already told my husband if I die before him to have an autopsy done. If systemic yeasts or any type systemic fungal infection is found, then he should file suit against those I have been to for help and who have denied me the help I needed by casting me off as a psycho without any type of testing what-so-ever. No interest of any further investigation of my symptoms were persued and I was sent off in a ridiculed manner. Which reminds me, I have ro print the article that one Dr. wrote about how to approach your DR. He speaks in it of the testing guidelines neccessary to claim or diagnos someone as Psychotic. Not only is that wrong, but imagine all the repercutions that is going to have on others in the future regarding health insurance, jobs, any type insurance for that matter. It will be so wonderful for a prospective employer to do a background check on someone and see they were once diagnosed as for psychotic. This won't be a problem in my days left here, but younger people it could be disastrous. Even if one would end up in court someday for something minor, just this "psychotic" label will impact eveything and it will follow one ALL their life. How very, very sad, if not criminal as well. Whatever happened to the "good old U.S.of A with fresh air, playing football, basketball, soccer, etc. after school with the neighborhood kids? Helping Mom with supper when she was at work and having an actual sit-down together family supper every evening? Fighting with my sister over who was going to wash and who was going to wipe the dishes.? :-( , :-) So much is just passing people by today. That is except for corruption and what havoc it renders.

| How can todays modern medicine just ignore all this? Quite frankly I don't know. But when I take all the fungus info. to PBS, and when they ask me what it is that I want, (as they did the last time I spoke of) I am going to say that I would like to be seen in Infectious Disease Dept. and not Dermatology. I am also going to express how I want a full battery of tests done and if I have to pay for some out-of-pocket I am willing to do that and sign any paper neccessary to have tests done. There is absolutely NO reason any of us should not be getting the tx we deserve. I believe the scope of this goes way beyond Dermatology. This is systemic and more than skin deep, IMHO. However, it is the Dermatologists responsibility as a Dr. to refer us to the correct Department for further evaluation and not treat us with he disrespect we all receive. I can just imagine the jokes they say at their breaks together. I worked at a hosital once and I know what goes on. I have heard all the jokes said about people with behavioral health problems and the names they were called as well. I audited medical charts in the Behavioral Health Dept. and it was disgusting at times, to hear how people were spoken of by some of the practitioners. It was also sad to see a note by PBS on a chart which said, "This patient does not have insurance. Will you see her?" Then there was a Yes and a No box to check. The chart came back with the NO box checked. Here was a Dr. who more than likely had all they could desire, yet was more interested in their yearly evaluation than that of the state of mind this most needy person was in.
