I'm just wondering what kind of microscope people use to identify thing. My eyeclops is good but I can still only see tiny specks as larger specs. I have a microscope here...a regular one that when you put something on the slide you get a black silouette, and I use a strong lED flashlight that enables me to see things better and more in 3D but I want something where I can actually decipher what I am looking at. So many things look like glistening rocks under my scope. All specks look the same brown or black with shiny white stuff on it....or maybe that's just really what it looks like? I don't know. I've found a few things on some towels, that I initially thought were burrs or hitchhikers (prickly type weeds that cling on you when outdoors) but when I put it under the microscope it looks like a bug with a worm coming out of it. All towels in my house get bleached and this was a clean towel that I found this embedded in. I would love a different microsope that would show much more than the one I am using so I can be sure that it is a bug with worm in it. I'm curious considering I know I had a dead worm (or demodex mite) on my eyelash. On a side note, yesterday I brought my eyeclops outside and looked at my house siding, garage doors, cars etc. All are covered with specks that look identical to the ones in my skin. I'll have to take some pictures of the eyclops on my skin, house, the specks on lampshades etc. and post them. I probably won't get to it today, but will do it soon as I'd love others input.

Yes get a good microscope, craigs list will have some CHEAP some times, only the sick or training to take care of the sick want them. I found a good one for $25 dollars, it was just like new and Japanese not Chinese. You will want a light to illuminate, you will want a microscope with a bed that has controls to move the slide. the light you can buy on ebay or at a medical supply house locally. The refactory mirror works ok BUT it is sure hard to look at urine on the slide with it kicked back trying to get light!!!!!!

Hi Brat! I can definintely recommend a Bresser Microscope Biolux AL. It magnifies to x 1280. The best £90 i ever spent. Bresser Microscope Biolux AL There are only 2 draw backs. It doesn't take video. And its not handheld, so I cant take micrographs of anything not on a slide. Eg I cant hold it to a lesion on my arm or a fluorescing fibre on my chair. Jo

If you go onto CRAIGSLIST open it to YOUR area, CRAIGSLIST TAMPA for example. Then on the left side there is a search box FOR ALL THE LISTINGS in your area from aardvarks to zyzzyza, yes there is such a word! The microscope you seek may be under household, trade, camera you just never know, THAT is why you use the left hand side search, that way you search all. You want to LOOK at the item you are buying and USE it. Like I said I bought a LIKE NEW excellent Japanese Microscope, not a piece of junk, for 25 dollars.

Thank you so much all for the great info. I may still need to post and ask people's opinions before I buy if I find one that fits the criteria. Thanks for taking the time to offer me so much useful information!
