| I've been waiting to see the complete results of my research and treatment (on myself) and have very good incredible awesome astonishing miraculous results! I think I understand what causes Morgellons, with the exception of the particular transgenic DNA involved. But first, let me get to the treatment. Everyone has their "magic bullet", and I have even examined these in depth to see if these treatments make sense in view of what I believe. They do. Lot of people say the cure for Morgellons is eating natural, organic food, avoiding sugar, other words, living a healthy lifestyle. I always thought it meant the immune system was boosted. That's true, but not the whole story. I believe the key to getting well is MINERALS, ESPECIALLY ZINC, COPPER, MANGANESE, MOLYBDENUM AND ONE SPECIFIC VITAMIN, B12 (because of the COBALT it contains). When one eats organically you get lots of minerals. And that's certainly one valid way to go, and it works. I do eat organically myself often but not exclusively. I love my ice cream too. Minerals kill nematodes, it's that simple. B12 is a vitamin, with the mineral Cobalt contained within it. If you want to get well, take minerals (as well as other healthy things too!) either in their natural, organic forms, by consuming foods with adequate minerals, or take supplements. I choose to take supplements and have had AMAZING results. I feel like I have my life back. TRULY. I feel like these things that have consumed me and taken over my life are dead. Hey, people, they really are dead. I can tell. (more on this if anyone asks). I was so sick this past year I just didn't really care about life anymore. Every day was exhausting, with the myriad treatments and itching and pain and fatigue. The lesions I had were horrible, oozing, lots of fibers, and I could see the form of the 3 inch nematode under my skin. (some questioned me on this, but I know what I saw). Since I have been taking the minerals, for about 2 weeks, (I take more than the RDA of most minerals)., I can't believe the difference in me. I have some energy, not to move a mountain, but I want to get out of bed. I am still detoxing, and and hopeful that I will be back to my old self when I get these toxins out of me. I would be happy to post more about this if anyone is really interested. I feel sometimes like my "theory" is "just another theory" on here, and in a way, it is, as I have no proof. These are the minerals I think really kill them: zinc, copper, manganese, molybdenum, boron, cobalt (in the form of B12). I'm going to include some links this time, in case anyone wants to see some of my research. | Hi Sar! That's excellent!! i've been trying to cut out processed foods ever since carla also noticed a huge difference.i;m glad you found some relief.so are you saying just to double up on the vitamins for the kids and myself? i believe what you are saying i'm half asleep here but did they say those minerals kill nematodes??so why not make up a solution for your scalp also .kill them all!! | Great post, Sarothra! While I agree that nematodes are involved for sufferers, I have other theories about cause but will speak to our common beliefs. You are so correct that minerals help greatly. Just yesterday, I came across an old link I had saved: re: Molybdenum Dr. Cooter at www.mall-net.com This doctor explains how moly helps rid the body of toxins, which in turn diminishes pain and increases energy. He tells a story about an 84 year old woman who had not cleaned her house in 5 years. She took a tablet (Moly supplement) at 10 am and proceeded to clean her house, work in her garden go shopping and was still going strong late that night. WOW That is the kind of energy I need! I read Dr Crooks book on Yeast years ago and truly believe that one thing is certain- the majority of us have yeast overgrowth. That, in turn, creates acetaldehyde- which the body can not expell, causing fatigue and pain. The build up of acetaldehyde could be from the chemical-decay process in our bodies. The moly breaks down the acetaldehyde so that it can be removed. I just took a dose of the Moly- will see if I get all my work and shopping done today... Will move on to the other minerals tomorrow- the zinc sounds promising.... Thanks for your post. I especially value the Zinc article. -V-

| Sar, thanks for posting this information. I am still reading some of the links from your post. I noticed the article on zinc was from this website here which claims to have the only effective zinc lozenges (in case anyone is interested). The information on this site does say these lozengers are effective for cold type viruses, but not against the influenza viruses as this involves a different group of viruses. There is a lot of interesting information on the site itself: Eby's ColdCure Zinc Acetate Lozenges: The world's only common cold cure My question is what doses are you using of each of the minerals you have discussed? What is interesting to me, having been exposed to a neurotoxin (ciguatera), is the information from a link Venetia posted which was written by a person with a similar problem. This person was using 4000mcgs of B-12 once a week as methylcobalamin for symptoms. Interesting connection to what you are finding and using. So I am giving this some thought. I am currently on two capsules of a multi-B per day from my allergist (I need to see how much B-12 they contain). I know a lot of folks do not think they are being exposed to fish, but they could be unknowingly as sometimes fish meal is fed to farm raised animals. There is no way I am sure to know how much low level ciguatera poisoning is being spread to people in this indirect fashion. Also keep in mind that fish is often shipped to other areas of the country which traditionally had no worries about this problem in the past. So there are cases of ciguatera poisoning in states such as Vermont or even the Midwest. Also cooking does not kill the poison and so this toxin can even be found in some canned tuna, mostly depending on species. Not trying to scare anyone, but just be aware of this widespread problem in seafood. Try to eat fish only where the restaurant is careful about the sources from whom they buy seafood. With meat, if it is effected, I have not a clue as to how to avoid this apparently growing health problem of unwitting neurotoxin exposure.

| Zinc yes..copper no...I believe we have a copper and iron overload in our bodies which in the other hand leads to a so called Fenton's reaction and the production of free radicals in combination with H202. Zinc is a natural antagonist to copper and iron. I think it's important to 'create' a healthy mineral balance which can be achieved by high doses of Zinc, at least 50-60 mg a day. IMO we need to rid copper and iron overload. I can only speak for myself, but I believe that my daily intake of zinc and magnesium, which is also important, has lead to relief of symptoms. Kat |

| Copper is an interesting issue. If any of you have been in the aquarium hobby you have probably used copper as a medication. It has a useful habit of killing invertebrate life. |

| Regarding dosages of the minerals -- Well, it's a real balancing act. As we all know, minerals can be toxic in large doses. I'm not trying to make myself sick, but I am taking higher doses than the RDA. I'm using these higher doses to kill the nematodes, which I believe are the main vector delivering the majority of these toxins to our bodies. I hesitate to give the dosages I take, because I'm experimenting with the dosages, monitoring my health along the way. As long as it's just me I'm experimenting with, I can take full responsibility for what I do to myself, but I would feel really bad if someone OD'd on minerals because I said they will kill this stuff. They have done so FOR ME, but PLEASE BE CAREFUL. As many of you know, minerals are essential but can cause significant problems, including morbidity and mortality, if taken in excess. It depends upon the minerals and the amount consumed. I wouldn't want to see anyone just start popping zinc tablets or copper or boron, without being very careful of how much they are consuming. Even B12 can be taken to excess. Some of these minerals do not have a daily recommended dose because, although we know they are necessary in the human body, we don't know how much is necessary. They also interact with one another. Using high doses of zinc for extended periods will create copper deficiency, which you DON'T want, because it lowers immune function. You also don't want an overdosage of copper either. So if you choose to use the minerals as a cure, you probably should go a very conservative route. That being said, and all appropriate warnings given, I will tell this forum what I AM DOING. This is NOT a recommendation, but at the same time I do cherish my health and feel what I'm doing is safe, for me. HERE ARE THE DOSAGES I AM TAKING - YOU SHOULD NOT TAKE THESE DOSAGES FOR LONGER THAN 14 days!!! This should not be used for children. REPEAT, do not use these dosages on children, it will cause severe reactions, perhaps fatalities, at these levels. CHILDREN SHOULD ONLY TAKE THE AMOUNT APPROVED FOR CHILDREN. I don't list those amounts, but I do give my child ONLY the amount approved for her age. You will have to do some research on minerals per body weight. I do not recommend giving children higher than the RDA. These are the dosages FOR ADULTS ONLY, maximum for 2 weeks: ZINC, 200 MG. PER DAY COPPER 4 TO 6 MG. PER DAY BORON 6 MG. PER DAY VITAMIN B12, 10,000 MCG. PER DAY (as Cyanocobalamin) this is 10 mg. per day MOLYBDENUM 300 MCG. PER DAY THAT'S IT. These are the ones I believe will kill the nematodes. Again, this regimen is for maximum of 14 days, then drop down to RDA's. Here are the recommended dosages for these minerals. I think it's best, after the initial "killing" period, to just buy a good multi-mineral supplement (a good brand, like Solaray). Zinc 50 mg. per day Copper 2 mg. per day Boron, 3 mg. per day Vitamin B12, 2500 mcg. per day molybdenum, 150 mcg. per day I also take Magnesium, 400 mg. (or more, up to 800 mg. per day, based on bowel tolerance), Vitamin C, at least 1000 mg. per day, and VERY IMPORTANT, VITAMIN A, 5000 IU, and VITAMIN D, 1000 sar Last edited by sarothra; October 14th, 2009 at 11:55 PM. |

| Hi, Before taking any minerals please do a muscle check on yourself. Here are some methods: Energy Testing Yourself I recommend using a pendulum, the third method. I copied & pasted this method: PENDULUM DOWSING TEST. Some people prefer to use a pendulum to check or "dowse" for energy flow and related information. You'll need a small weight on the end of a 5 or 6 inch cord or string. A lifesaver on a piece of thread works fine. A pendant on a chain is great. In a pinch, I've used a ring on a piece of dental floss! Hold the string quietly between thumb and index finger - in neutral. Just as you did with the other self-tests, think YES, with a strong positive feeling, and watch your pendulum. It will begin to swing in a circle or forward-and-back or side-to-side. That particular movement means Yes for your pendulum and you. Practice a few times. Do the same with a strong NO thought and feeling, and watch your pendulum. It's likely to make the opposite movement. If it swung forward-and-back for Yes, it may swing side-to-side for No. If it circled clockwise for Yes, it may swing counter-clockwise for No. If your response is unclear, choose one of those patterns I just mentioned, and practice those pendulum movements while thinking/feeling Yes and No. Once your pendulum is programmed, it will always use the same indicators unless you program it differently. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I always ask my questions out loud, while thinking and feeling the question. After you tune into the pendulum, you can ask questions about the minerals suggested on this thread. An example is "Will zinc make my condition get better." If the pendulum swings a yes, then start asking about the right dose. "Should I take more than 200 mg?" and so on... In the white light, ~jonsi

| I think that's a great idea! I actually have a couple pendulums, and have used them in the past, but have sort of forgot about it. A good friend of mine uses hers a lot, from minor issues to major issues, and she swears by it. Thanks for the suggestion. I have another friend who does body work who routinely uses this method. For some reason, it really does work. Need to get that pendulum out tonight! sar |
