| (Sorry to speak so bluntly, but it is a concern.) Since this M nightmare started I have pretty much done nothing but work (when I could) and try things to treat the morg. I dont do anything with anyone, other than work. Weirdly enough I have had a few people ask me out during all of this (even tho I look horrible). I have been avoiding it, but finally I hung out with someone a bit today. He kept trying to kiss me. I feel like it is safe to quickly kiss someone with mouth closed, but I'm not sure about long kissing and with open mouth. That might be dangerous. I definitely think someone could get it from having sex because my vagina is one of the most infected areas. (#1=Hair, 2=vagina, 3=whole body, 4=back of throat). Plus if someone was close to my body in general, day after day, I think the repeated exposure would be dangerous. I can't find a doctor to help me. I DEFINITELY won't do anything I think would put someone else to risk (although I don't think it is contagious to the average person - only those with weakened immune system and other predispositions, aand who have repeated exposure on top of that). But what do I do? I am very cautious about telling people because it puts my job at risk. (Additionally, it seems people just say you are crazy, although I think the truly crazy ones are the ignorant doctors who first said this was an imagined illness.) | I have had many of the symptoms over the years, many many many, I have also been with many partners. They do not have this problem, not that I know of, not even my last woman, she is fine I saw her the other day. She was with me for 4 years, 4 YEARS, and we played human trapoline all the time, we have also been apart for 5 years now with no other sexual partners for me. I have to believe she has it, YES, but it has not manifested to the point that lesion/tumors will appear. If the early signs of this did not drive me so crazy, like wanting to dig my ear cannals out of my head and the exzema I would never have noticed it. There is one last item I will mention, the young officer that stood screaming in the doctors office that was COVERED with this malady, the horror in his voice crying out, what is this , I will never be able to go home. The rest of us just looked at him and thought WE with the small problems (ALL SKIN MALADYS) were lucky. Was his immune system just not ready for this filth, was mine better able to combat this THIRD WORLD PLAGUE because my father before me served in Korea and the Philippines, Oh by the way, he has the bright red orbs on his body, big ones. I saw them while I was working with him and those things were one of the first to appear on me when I got back from Asia. believe it or not, this came home with the soldiers!!! |

| I don't think casual contact or sexual contact spreads this. However I know someone that contracted this "M" from an infected mattress left on the curb and her entire family got sick soon after. It's a long story. She is a member on this site but no longer visits because no one believed that this can be infectious. She observes that other people start itching around her wherever she goes. I bought a used hide-a bed couch that came from Florida back in 2004 and wonder if the final "Morgellons" vector came from what ever was in that couch. Predisposition, YES! I was already sick with something before I bought the couch. None of my "lovers" have Morgellons. ~jonsi

| Hi Fracty, Each morgie has a different experience, contagious or not. It could be due to us having different species of critters, different levels of infection etc. I have little doubt that my morgs has been contagious for the last 3 years. I had 5 years previous with symptoms but it didnt seem to infect others, but it did affect them - they would scratch around me. I'd advise you go slow, but dont cut out important relationships - we all need love to live. Jo |

| There may be different symptoms but there are so many in COMMON and who is to say we do not after time radiate all of them. I think you are just AWARE of the people around you scratching, BECAUSE they are also infected, OR they see you scratch and immitate. Go to a resturant, close encounter type, wear somthing that others will look at ALOT, do not itch and watch those around you, watch them closely now, then start scratching and see what that brings. i feel you will find two things, ALOT of people have this already, especially the ones condumed with their ears, also people will imatate others when promted, JUST LIKE MONKEYS,LOL!!!! |
