Default Filamentous Bacteria

These bacteria form FIBERS - I didn't know there was such a thing....

These are associated with WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS

Check out these photos of fibers!

Also, these fibers occur inside nematodes. I'll post about that too when I find more.

Think I'll drink some tap water about now...

I think I won't...

Default Mutant Nematodes with Strong Filaments

I think the nematodes contain extra strong fibers as part of their bodies. I found this interesting that mutant nematodes are being found with strong filaments.

Trying to put all the pieces together,

Default Nematodes and Fibers Linked

This article from 1998 talks about a "new" protein in the nematode C.Elegans
(which is also flourescent) - which causes an extra thick "backbone" of the nematode. I knew it!! I knew the fibers were part of the nematodes.

Thanks for the link, Sarothra. This article is from 1998, yes. Don't you think if this protein is related to the fibers that scientists such as R.Smith for example would have identified this by now?..And Carnicom is still looking for an unknown protein if I'm recalling right..wonder why?

I agree. It seems 1998 info. would be long-ago incorporated. That's why I mentioned that it was from long ago.

But I guess what I was thinking was if there was a new flourescent protein back then, maybe there are other more recent new additions. That was my thinking.
