| Hello Hurtin, YES! The cotton qtip fibers move! After I have found so many colored fibers in my hair I also read about the moving cotton fibers and decided to do that test you did. So I plucked a few off and put them under my scope. They looked exactly like the transparent fibers I found in my hair. They started to move almost instantly, so I switched my video tool on. I've made hundreds of pictures and videos of Morg specimens, fibers, goo stuff, crystals..worms..etc..Unfortunately I lost ALL of 'em as my computer crashed a few weeks ago. Ever since I made that observation I don't use qtips at all anymore. I dry my ears inside and out with my towel I washed in a 'marathon' cleaning process with disinfectant hospital detergent using chlorine as a rinse. I prefer white towels and beddings. The kind I can wash on high temperatures. Another 'plus' in using white sheets for example is, that I can see if there is anything strange looking in my bed..lol..what a life!..hmm...and I don't mean the person lying next to me.. ![]() Kat |

| Me,,I went with light blue sheets,,just easier on my eyes..to see morning remnants... Here is some micro-fiber towel I mic-ed from a small piece I cut from it.. Picture 1 shows my cheapy gilbert micro,,for "my veiwing pleasure",,BUT next to it is my homeade faraday cage,,(glass tube/wooden stand w/wire hanger). I have learned that the fibers are polarized,,thus having a +,,on one end,,and a-,,on the other end,,and can be "hung" on my wire stand,,without help..(thats why they are so hard to handle) Now while it is hanging there,,I can take either a magnet or the small detacthable light source from my microscope,,and wave it near the fiber(s),,and get them excited,,.. After removing the light source,,and waiting about ten seconds ,,they tend to sway,,,rotate,,and dance around.. While they are in movement,,I "slide" the glass cover over the hanger(as shown in pic),,,and as soon as a "seal" is made,,thus completely sealing the faraday cage,,,ALL movement stops,,,therefore I am guessing that the fibers are electromagnetically driven... I have noticed a long red fiber attached to my floor lamp and it is always moving,,in a rotating like fashion... There was a person a while back,,gave mention to using a faraday cage in the cures section,,but then never followed up on it..(was strange) I have repeated this experiment many times,,,and found that the glass ,,HAS to be completely sealed on the wooden table top to cease movement from fiber..,,,,as soon as you break the seal,,it regains E.-M. energy....and moves again... |
