With all due respect, Steve, it doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to see that there is method in the madness as relates to Emerging disease and the Money Barons in this world. Case in point- Enron. Both sides of the 'House' were enriched by that corporation. Looking beyond their 'creative bookkeeping' (read:fraud), you find that they were behind the push for the Clean Air Act and the EPA putting a stamp of approval on MTBE to be used in vehicles nationwide to clean the air. Enron produced MTBE. What was known- UC Davis report- was that not only did the MTBE NOT clean the air, it was toxic and added more smog (toxins) into the air, settled to the ground and water where it became almost impossible to remove. IOW, it was far worse in terms of a pollutant. But then strong lobbyists at Enron lined the pockets of those who had influence and we the people suffer to this day with the consequences of that influence with poisoned water, soil and air. If you read a little on the subject, the MTBE and the daughter product TBA are carcinogens. If you do a little research, you will find that Warren Buffett actually owned Enron. More creative bookkeeping. If you dig deeper you find that once the going got rough (the fraud was discovered) the company (Enron) was disbanded and Warren Buffet quietly re-acquired the assets of Enron but not the liabilities. That was thrust onto the people. Taxpayers. The results of over 25 years of vehicles in the US using the MTBE will be felt for decades. Some areas may never be remediated. The cost is too great. Now other countries are using the MTBE to include China. That could be a reason for all their problems with smog? It could be a problem world-wide. Air currents carry the MTBE in the gaseous form.... Even with remediation, we see that the bacterias used for that process may do even more damage. As I point out in various threads, components that Robert Smith ID'd in the specimens (morgellons fibers) are those in the remediation products for MTBE. IT is in the soil and the water. PM 1 (remediation product) includes the Agrobacterium Ti (C5 that Citovsky ID'd. No conspiracy theory there. Just facts. Then there is the Monsanto saga. Posts all over this board are loaded with information on the damage done by that company. World wide. The Nuke testing and the Chernobyl accident contribute heavily to this condition and other Emerging disease as well. No conspiracy- just facts.

WASHINGTON – Scientists are beginning a large-scale effort to identify and analyze the vast majority of cells in or on your body that aren't of human origin. Only about 10 percent of the trillions of cells that make up a person are truly human, researchers say. The other 90 percent are bacteria, viruses and other microbes swarming in your gut and on your skin. "We really are a superorganism," Brett Finlay, a microbiologist at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, said in an e-mail. "From the moment we are born until we die, we live in a symbiotic relationship with our microbes." "At birth, babies emerge from a sterile environment into one that is laden with microbes," said Laurie Comstock, a microbiologist at Harvard Medical School in Boston. "The infant's intestines then rapidly become home to one of the densest populations of bacteria on Earth." Well, bright-eyes, if that were true, there wouldn't be any birth-defects or congenital diseases....... ![]() Most of these microbes are harmless, researchers say. Many are necessary to life and health. A troublesome minority, however, can cause everything from teenage acne and obesity to autism and cancer. WHAT???? SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!!! WAIT! LEMME GET A PEN SO I DON'T FORGET THIS NEWSFLASH!The National Institutes of Health has launched a $115 million, five-year project to identify, analyze and catalog hundreds of microbial species resident in or on the human body. Called the Human Microbiome Project, it's modeled after the Human Genome Project, which decoded most of the human genes in the 1990s. The first 35 microbiome research grants took effect this summer. The goal of the Microbiome project, which is international in scope, is to identify which microbes are harmful and to figure out ways to prevent or treat diseases they cause. It's a bewildering task because scientists estimate that there are about 1,000 different species of microbes living in the human gut and about as many more separate species on human skin. HUH! WELL, maybe if they'd been working on this all along..... ![]() The microbes form tiny colonies of bacteria that settle in different areas of the body. Jeffrey Gordon, a microbiologist at Washington University in St. Louis, likened them to "ecosystems," similar to those that plants and animals form on islands on Earth. HEY NOW, HEY NOW!!!....SOMEONE's been reading our POSTS!!!! The most popular site for human skin microbes, surprisingly, is the forearm, which is home to 44 different microbial species, according to a recent study by Julia Segre, a microbiologist at the National Human Genome Research Institute in Bethesda, Md. The most barren region is behind the ear, where only 15 species typically settle, she reported in the journal Science last May. Different tribes of microbes are associated with different maladies. For example, bacteria associated with the skin disease psoriasis favor the outer elbow, Segre reported. Eczema bugs prefer the inner elbow. someone's REALLY been reading our forum!!!! Gee... I wonder why the doc gods, including umm...DERMATOLOGISTS don't know this? Why do I feel like someone at the NIH just uncovered and brushed off the dust from "Diseases 101" ?? Kritts

Just thought of something else! ".....The National Institutes of Health has launched a $115 million, five-year project to identify, analyze and catalog hundreds of microbial species resident in or on the human body........." And the CDC has taken HOW LONG???? to analyze a morgellons fiber??? WTF is wrong with this picture?

So I guess it would be safe to say, according to you guys anyway, that anything and everything that involves Science or the Government is in some way related to a conspiracy right, thats pretty much what it seems like your saying. The article I posted isn't even about emerging diseases, diseases yes, but the focus is on the microbes. Last edited by Steve Frey; August 29th, 2009 at 10:25 AM.

| With the simple intention of passing on information I posted an article about a Science project designed to map the microbes in the body. The replies to this post include comments about it relating to something Hitler would have supported, eye rolls, a lecture on Enron, Warren Buffett, and MTBE's, and a smartass critique of the article by someone clearly not qualified to do so, and people wonder why Steve sometimes goes postal on conspiracy theorists. | Steve - In all of this, there is a very fine line to be walked. I neither find a conspiracy behind everything I don't understand, nor do I trust everything that the Industrial-military complex is involved with. I DO think there is a conspiracy at some level regarding Morgellons. At the very least there is a conspiracy to withhold information. (Why this is so could be argued forever without coming to a conclusion we could all agree on). At the other end of the conspiracy speculation spectrum is the idea that Morgellons is a purposeful development to achieve some as yet unknown purpose. As far as the article, I think it is interesting though probably not directly related to Morgellons. The one way that it is (in my belief) is that it should put some perspective on the tendency to attribute every pathogen found on and in the human body as being part of Morgellons.
