Hi Joan,

Yes! We will help you as best we can! How long have you had Lyme? How long have you had lesions? Do you have a good doctor? (I guess not, or you wouldn't be researching yourself) Well, that's how we all got here, too. Doing our own research.

There are many treatments which seem to help with the lesions and health in general. Please read through the threads from the home page and ask any questions you want.

Welcome, and you have come to the right place, Joan!

Best,
Kritters

Default What to do

Hi Joan, I think it is important you stop worrying about other peoples reactions and concentrate on your health. If you cannot face going out get the doctor to see you at home. I have been told that small amounts of sunshine are good for you. I have had lesions etc for 20 years and I know it is difficult to have a "normal" life, try not to get depressed. I am a new member and have found great comfort already here. I am sure the more knowledgeable people here will be able to give treatment advice that I cannot because I am not health trained. Just keep smiling 'cause you are not alone with this.
Yours with respect, Gtaffy.

Default Thank You !!!!!

I have a good lyme doctor, she was the first to say it was coming from the lyme. But you reach a point when you cant stand it anymore. I have some sores on my back that are deep and the area around then is numb. Is that the same with other people. I have been to 4 or 5 skin doctors and I just feel so ashamed of my self. I was going to go to Jefferson hostipal. Some times the sores feels relief when they bleed . Im I nuts or what ???

You are absolutely not nuts, and don't let anyone tell you that you are. Your doc doesn't have any thoughts about how to treat the lesions?

One thing I do over all is soak in a hot tub with a cup of epsom salt and hydrogen peroxide. then there are other essential oils such as neem and grapefruit seed extract and tea tree oil you can rub on your lesions.

There are so many suggestions here and many people have actually gotten rid of their lesions. You can spend hours and days reading all the help here, so cheer up and know that you will get better.

Joan, here is the link from home page for treatment suggestions:

Morgellons Treatment

But there are so many others throughout our posting.

Can you tell me if you have mould in your home? Do you live in an older property? How do you think you have developed Lyme? Do you remember being bitten by a tick? Was there a rash of any kind?

You must keep sugar out of your diet and try to keep your blood slightly on the alkaline side for starters. No processed foods. No MSG or Aspartame.

Chelation therapy is something many of us believe helps rid us of the toxins from heavy metals which somehow create a favorable environment for the critters.

Many of us also believe in high doses of vitamin C. Intravenous vitamin C and B's are usually given after chelation.

What is it that your doctor told you as well?

Be very glad you found this place Joan. Too much sun is not good, but IMO, you should have about a half hour per day to absorb the much needed vitamin D. You can get the D's from supplements, but the sun is the best source.

Hi Joan...I feel the same way as you, even have same name, I've had this awful disease for 18yrs so know how you feel.

I joined exactly a year ago & found the forum helped me, I found Grapefruit seed extract,Diatomatious earth (food grade) helpful, I am taking Neem capsules & Olive leaf extract capsules at moment, also Neem oil rubbed into skin helps.

I & most people have to keep changing protocol as with this disease the body seems to stop reacting to treatments after a few weeks.

Tha only time I've had relief is for a couple of weeks when I've had a weeks holiday by the coast & sunbathed, as its fungal the sun is good for it, also the Ozone.

like you I've been to 5 hospitals & seen lots of Doctors, also been sent to a shrink, they don't want to know about the disease, I get very depressed & go out shopping for food when I know not many people will be about as its all over my hands as well as my body, I just can't wait for winter to come so that I can wear fingerless gloves when I go out & keep them on in shops.

Going by your name you are proberbly getting on in years, I'm 71 & the skin gets very dry & sore, last night I loaded my legs with thick cream & wrapped them in clingfilm, it helps to moisterise the skin.

Do you have fatigue? most of us do & spend an awful lot of time in bed!!

Its no good saying cheer up as we just have to keep on plodding on with different treatments, but you know you are not alone here, you can ask anything you want, it does'nt matter how personal.

Hope you find some relief....Spots.....
