1. Can anyone tell me if patches of orange peel skin (eg around the neck) and also slightly raised small pimples on the tops of arms/near the ears are specific to Morgellons or Lyme. 2. Various people talk of "re-infection". Can anyone who's been through this tell me if re-infection means not only the return of all the specks and other skin debris but the Lyme aspects too (presuming they originally cleared the Lyme with antibiotics etc)? I can't find answers to these questions anywhere - not even in FAQ - so maybe someone can make me wiser drawing on their own experience! Thanks.

Slovenia, Just yesterday, I came across a post on this board that addressed the chicken-skin or orange peel skin. Great info here: you must read this.......it will change your life Excerpt: at this exact same time, i sought a local naturopath for a totally different reason, and as it turned out she said she could help me with my chicken skin (keratin plugs) that covered my body from neck to ankles for 20 years... end I believe the skin plugs/chicken-skin/orange peel skin- to be a sign or symptom of this condition. A family member was diagnosed by a Dermie with Keratosis pilaris around the same time - diagnosed with Lyme Disease. Hope that helps. -V- Keratosis Pilaris : The Chicken Skin Condition : Help for KP

The Keratosis pilaris is likely due to a little mite called Demodex which inhabits the hair follicles in almost everyone. I have this plus rosacea, where demodex is also implicated. People seem to improve the condition using topicals to kill this mite ... like seabuckthorne oil products, boric acid, etc. This is common in people without Morgellons or Lyme I want to add.... Well, since using all of the products on my body to get the stuff out of the skin, my rosacea is almost gone and my KP has improved tremendously.

Hi Kat! I'm thinking that a lot of the stuff we are doing for Morgellons also kills off the demodex.... But before I knew about Morgellons, I bought several products for demodex. Here are some good links: - Face Dr research info (interesting stuff on demodex): Acne soap - Rosacea soap - Teen acne soap -Face Dr products: Complexion Soaps - acne soap - rosacea soap - Tashi I have used the shampoo and conditioner. I like them both, just a little pricey. They also have some soaps, but I haven't tried them. Also, Aubrey organics have some seabuckthorne products I have bought and liked: -Soap: -Moisturizer: The nice thing about the Aubrey products are that they are inexpensive. Also, wanted to give you all a link for additional info about KP. It's a support forum and it has some very helpful information: Keratosis Pilaris Community - New Homepage

By the way, I think that when people acquire M, it opens us up to all types of parasites, and the parasites already living on our skin are allowed to blossom out of control. Hence why we see the KP condition and it seems related. PleaseHelp_Lintbugs told me that she has only developed rosacea (demodex again!) recently since she has started seeing the M symptoms (black specks, fibers, etc). I thought this was interesting....
