| Uh, that anthrax attack? It took place in 2001.

| But...don't you think it could have continued on and been incorporated into the land, sea and air and thereby infected us continually? Could it take a while to manifest itself? I remember 2001 being a busy chemtrail year. It was the first time I noticed it in the sky on New Years Day. I took a photo of it because it was so weird, but lost it in the great puter crash of 2001. Kritts |

| Unique Aggregation of Anthrax (Bacillus anthracis) Spores by Sugar-Coated Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes - Journal of the American Chemical Society (ACS Publications) "There has been significant interest in the binding of anthrax spores by molecular species, but with only limited success. Proteins and more recently peptides were used. However, despite the known presence of carbohydrates on the spore surface, carbohydrate−carbohydrate interactions have hardly been explored likely because of the lack of required specific platform for synthetic carbohydrates. We report the successful use of single-walled carbon nanotubes as a truly unique scaffold for displaying multivalent monosaccharide ligands that bind effectively to anthrax spores with divalent cation mediation to cause significant spore aggregation. The work should have far-reaching implications in development of countermeasure technologies." ![]() |

| Cyclic peptides yield promising antimicrobial results : The Lancet Infectious Diseases Cyclic peptides yield promising antimicrobial results "Researchers at The Scripps Research Institute (La Jolla, CA, USA) reported in Nature recently that cyclic D,L-α-peptides can rapidly kill bacteria by forming “hole-punching” tubular nano-structures. “These peptides self-assemble into hollow tubes in response to their environment”, and because they each carry at least one basic aminoacid, they have an enhanced specificity towards negatively charged bacterial membranes compared with mammalian membranes”, explains lead author Reza Ghadiri.
