| From some Chemistry books I borrowed from a family member, I found a lot of interesting info. Premise-based on facts: Fact: Free Radicals are species that have a SINGLE unpaired ELECTRON. ....these reactions are FREE RADICAL in nature. They involve Homolytic bond fission which is, in effect, undoing a covalent bond; X:Y ---> X + Y ....the Cl-Cl (Chlorine) bond will be broken first and once that has happened, the FREE RADICALS begin a process of breaking other bonds. Chlorine: WebElements Periodic Table of the Elements | Chlorine | Essential information Excerpts: Brief description: chlorine is a greenish yellow gas which combines directly with nearly all elements. Chlorine is a respiratory irritant. The gas irritates the mucous membranes and the liquid burns the skin. As little as 3.5 ppm can be detected as an odour, and 1000 ppm is likely to be fatal after a few deep breaths. It was used as a war gas in 1915. It is not found in a free state in nature, but is found commonly as NaCl (solid or seawater). **** In the laboratory under carefully controlled conditions, chlorine can be made by the action of an oxidizing agent such as manganese dioxide, MnO2, upon concentrated hydrochloric acid - the same reaction used by Scheele in 1774 when discovering chlorine. end **** CL (Chlorine) can be made with Manganese dioxide and Hydrochloric acid Hydrochloric acid- Hydrochloric acid - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Excerpt: Hydrochloric acid is the solution of hydrogen chloride (HCl) in water. It is a highly corrosive, strong mineral acid and has major industrial uses. It is found naturally in gastric acid. end excerpt *** CL (Chlorine) can be produced - with Manganese dioxide and Hydrochloric Acid. Manganese Dioxide- is found in nature and in our bodies Additional sources: Manganese Dioxide Excerpt: Manganese dioxide may enter the body via the lungs or digestive tract, the pulmonary route is the most common and presents the greatest danger. Dust from the atmosphere or from contaminated hands or food may also enter the mouth and be swallowed. Absorbed manganese accumulates in the blood until a certain threshold value is exceeded after which further absorption leads to deposition in the majority of the body’s organs and chronic manganese poisoning results. Chronic occupational poisoning affects the nervous system. The initial stage of the disease is the most difficult to detect but it is the most important as early removal from the source of exposure may arrest the course of the disease. Symptoms include loss of weight, loss of appetite, headaches, dizziness, somnolence, indifference and apathy. Anyone who works with the material who exhibits any of the above symptoms should seek medical advice. end Re-cap: The Cl bonds- once broken- create a chain reaction- where other bonds become broken as well creating - the FREE RADICALS The process- of Free Radicals breaking the bonds begins with Chlorine and continues from there. This process is unually initiated by light (UV. Sunlight) or high temps Chlorine- composed of Manganese dioxide & hydrochloric acid- found in the gut The process in the body, per above, leads to disease- over 60 diseases Last edited by Venetia; July 27th, 2009 at 12:52 PM. |

In addition to the FREE RADICALS- initiated by the Manganese/hydrocloric acid in the gut, the work of Mark Purdey comes to mind. Mark Purdey New Page 2 (12 pages) * Manganese- along with other components- causes the condition above and as Mark Purdey later proved, it the depletes Magnesium which causes another set of problems. Additionally, Manganese creates 'Mental issues' and "manganese is a marker for violence". A very important aside: An RN that I know has told me that when she worked in a facility for Alzheimers' patients, that the difference in those patients and others who merely had Dementia (loss of memory associated with age), was that the Alzheimers patients became VIOLENT. They acted out where those with Dementia did not. Last edited by Venetia; May 23rd, 2010 at 10:15 PM.

Consumer Health Articles: CHELATION THERAPY FOR ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE Sure enough, Kritters! This doctor lists 6 Toxic metals as a source of Alzheimer's- SOURCES OF TOXIC METALS Alzheimer's disease is an accumulation of metallic particles. There are six toxic metals which cause Alzheimer's disease: aluminum, mercury, lead, cadmium, iron and manganese.

Kritters, Of equal importance, I found that the CL chain of reactions that produce Free Radicals is initiated with heat/light. The process in the gut- w/manganese. All the more reason to shy away from heat sources and UV (etc) lamps for potential 'cures', IMO.

Thanks V~! ....and the sun is so GOOD for us (in small doses.....) this just doesn't make sense to me, even tho' it's probly true.... ....and my face REALLY broke out (I think ) from the sun. Which is said to activate herpes. Although not necessarily all connected to ONE said Morgellons situation....this is puzzle is beginning to have so many jigsaw pieces. I do believe though, if anyone is going to put it together it is you and others right here on this forum!!! Kritts

Thanks, Kritters. I am of the opinion that the answers are already there for us to find but I do appreciate your post! Here is Mark Purdey- 2001: Could Organophosphate Insecticides Play A Role In Madcow Disease? Excerpt: But Purdey is worried that the funding may never come. `No one's prepared to admit it because it would involve massive compensation,'' he said. ``By keeping the causal agent as something mystified, no one's to blame.'' end excerpt what changes? Only the name of the mystery condition/disease. V

Yes...that's what I meant, V~ ![]() Speaking of free radicals, isn't that what anti-oxidants are supposed to take care of? Sounds like this is more support for the mega Vitamin C....? Kritts
