Dear Members,

An Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved clinical trial is currently being conducted in Fort Smith, Arkansas to address illnesses caused by herpes simplex virus (HSV) and herpes zoster virus (HZV) infections. It involves the use of light activation of a dye/enerceutical mixture that is not in direct contact with the body. Patients with active herpes outbreaks and those between outbreaks are being seen. Expedited healing of active lesions and a significant reduction, if not complete suppression, of future herpes recurrences are the primary criteria of success. A subset of patients is being monitored for declining levels of anti-HSV antibody, which when negative strongly suggests that even sub-clinical virus shedding has been curtailed.

As some of you may know, I have reported that Morgellons can be caused by an infection with atypical (stealth adapted) viruses. These viruses are simply not recognized by the cellular immune system (please refer the Medical Commentary section at www.s3support.com). I am reasonably confident that the new therapy being tried on patients with conventional herpes virus infections will benefit patients with Morgellons. I am, therefore, interested in having someone from this or a related group undergo the treatment at Fort Smith and to report back on the clinical outcome. I will be pleased to provide logistical details either through this forum or in response to an email sent to s3support@mail.com Participation in the study will strengthen the concept of an underlying stealth adapted virus infection in Morgellons and many other related illnesses.

I am a firm believer in the need for well conducted and publishable clinical trials. Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation regarding so called Morgellon's disease. I would like to document a good clinical recovery as part of a thorough discussion on its viral origin.

I am primarily interested in confirming the therapeutic benefit of a simple protocol in patients infected with stealth adapted viruses. Morgellons support groups could do well by collectively sponsoring a patient for therapy based on stealth adapted virus infection.

Well... one more thing to think about, this sure sounds like Morgellons. The viral aspect has been suspected... so that makes this a cocktail of viral, parasitical, fungal and bacterial... how could all of these factors be happening in people at the same time in large numbers? I question it all, this opens a 'can of worms'...

Stealth Viruses

"The polio vaccine of the late fifties was again examined in the 80s using our high tech electron microscopes. It was discovered that the vaccines contained right around 200 more viruses than originally thought. Some of these would later be categorized as the "Stealth Viruses."

At times, when not inside of a host, viruses often are often crystallized like table salt.

It has just recently been discovered that one test to discover if your body is under a viral attack (whether stealth or otherwise) is the c-reactive protein test. This test will tell you the coagulability state of your blood. A body under attack by a virus has hypercoagulable blood (clots easily). (Again, this is because viruses hide from the immune system by "cloaking" themselves in fibrin). Stealth viruses do the same. This is how some of the stealth viruses were initially found: the c-reactive protein test showed positive, yet the individual had no signs of a fever or viral infection.

One thing we once knew for certain was that viruses that affect humans cannot affect animals and viruses that affect animals cannot affect humans. Then along came the stealth virus. This little bugger not only crosses phylogenetic boundaries between animal and humans, it also infects bacteria! We now have a new organism to do battle with; this "hybrid" called viteria (mixture of a virus and bacteria).

Dr Martin’s protocol for treatment of stealth viruses still does hand a big chunk of business to the pharmaceutical industry, as he does recommend many of the current antivirals. However, his overall plan consists of everything we, as patients, can do, including supplementation and vitamins. He is currently requesting assistance in conducting clinical therapeutic studies using conventional medicine and orthomolecular medicine (clinicians using alternatives).

Until more is learned from these studies, he feels that a properly orchestrated immune system is the best way to beat this beast: first by helping to uncover them by thinning the blood (using garlic and enzymes as opposed to standard blood thinners), by creating an environment detrimental to viral replication, and boosting the immune system by promoting higher levels of interferon and interleukins while increasing NK Cell (natural killer) activity.

I was half asleep when I came across that, and I can't remember where I saw it. I think it is at least 2 years old.

I was actually looking for Judith Knilans' light therapy, which was adapted from Dr. Martin's treatment when I saw it.

That light therapy was a bit of "the rage" about a year ago, but her website has been "under construction" for many months, so I am guessing that it turned out to be ineffective after all. Not sure, as LB pulled that thread because she was selling her product.

There had been bad press and more - as relates to the work that Dr Martin had been doing- primarily for Autistic children but obviously some with Fibers became involved in that Trial- early 2008.
