| 2009 and 2008 notable deaths -- OrlandoSentinel.com ![]() Look at Kamilas' legs and tell me- do you see what could be the 'condition'? or is it the lighting/netting? Her legs look mottled to me. Ex-Olympic hammer throw champion Kamila Skolimowska died from artery blockage - ESPN Updated: February 23, 2009, 8:54 AM ET Skolimowska had pulmonary embolism Comment Email Print Share Associated Press Fair use WARSAW, Poland -- Preliminary autopsy results indicate that former Olympic hammer throw champion Kamila Skolimowska died from a pulmonary embolism. Skolimowska, who won gold at the 2000 Sydney Games, died suddenly last Wednesday after collapsing ahead of a weightlifting session while training in Portugal. Poland's track and field federation said in a statement posted on its Web site that the full results from the autopsy, which indicated the artery blockage and was carried out in Portugal, are expected later this week. Skolimowska, 26, was in Portugal to begin training ahead of this year's World Championships in Berlin in August. She won gold at the age of 17 when the women's hammer throw was contested for the first time at an Olympics. She failed to medal at the 2004 Athens Games or at last year's Beijing Olympics. | AIPS Web Site - Pulmonary embolism cause of death of Kamila Skolimowska POLAND Pulmonary embolism cause of death of Kamila Skolimowska Excerpt: According to a statement from Skolimowska’s father Robert, it is possible that other factors contributed to her death: “Following a discussion with the doctor I am of the opinion that there were causes: possibly a blood clot or over-training. “My daughter had a swollen leg last Friday and it is possible that a subsequent massage may have forced a clot to the upper half of her body. It is unfortunate that there was no team doctor in Portugal. On the other hand, I know from my experience as a former athlete, that it is not possible to send a doctor to accompany such a small group.” end 4 years ago, I had been working on a ladder. I was putting a lot of pressure on my foot and as a result I got a golf ball sized clot or lump in the ball area. I thought it would go away in a few days or a week but it didn't. I tried soaks in epsom salts and all manner of other methods. Eventually the swelling did go away but it took a month or more. I always take aspirin to thin my blood and that may have helped. That and MSM that I take for arthritis pain and the NAC- for oxygen to cells. While the clot/lump was in place and even as it gradually dissolved I was concerned about a portion heading to the heart or the brain. I read somewhere that hypercoagulation is a Lyme symptom. Anyone have any confirmation on that? IOW- clotting is a Lyme disease symptom. V |

Venetia - It is light through the netting - you can see it on her red shorts, too. But I have been wondering about these strange deaths, starting with Anna Nicole Smith and her son. SS

Hypercoagulation I have read happens with CHRONIC INFECTIONS and is very common with Lyme/Borrelia. I always take Asipirn daily. Also just recently read that as a person ages, their blood goes thru the "getting thicker stage". So this woman at age 26 getting a pulmonary embolism is odd doesn't seem right. THis is what my mother died of Suddenly in her late 60's. I can think of all her health problems and she was put on at least 20 or 25 medicines DAILY. Now I feel, that her being ill since her 30's must have been chronic infection related. Sadly, when I read the obituaries anymore, It is NOT like it used to be, all people in their 70's -80's -90's and that rare "younger one". Now I see so many more in the 40's - 50's -60's. THERE IS A NEW TREND which isn't good. I was looking back and Elizabeth Montgomery Died of Colon Cancer at age 62 (same age as Farrah Fawcett). Like Farrah, Elizabeth was in a long term relationship with a man she didn't marry. Farrah's father is still alive and he lost 2 daughters and his wife to cancer. I heard they were charging people in Anna Nicole's death for being "enablers" just today on TV.

About time someone got charged in Anna Nicole's' death. Glancing over the 169 notable deaths at link below, I notice many athletes - dying young. 20's 30's. Pesticides in the playing fields? 2009 and 2008 notable deaths -- OrlandoSentinel.com

You are welcome Sad Sack. I thought that was an interesting link as well. Notice how many younger athletes you see in that group. It must be the pesticides on the playing fields. That and the water. In addition to the various remediation products and the PCBs and a little Radiation here and there- I was just informed that there is also Cadmium in the water supply now. A new thread for another day- V
