Default Does anyone else feel like they've become dyslexic?

Just wondering -- anyone else having trouble spelling and forming coherent sentences? While I've had brain fog on and off since this started in August, it seems to be getting worse. I'll look at my posts after I've sent them and I misspell even the most common words. I've also done this on emails to clients -- a bit embarrassing, given that I write for a living. The other day I was typing in the word "maintenance" and I stared at it for a full 10 minutes, trying to figure out if I had the spelling correct. I've definitely noticed this getting worse over the past few weeks... ???

Mary, I'm so sorry you're going through this. It must be incredibly frustrating to experience these brain fog problems especially that you write for a living. I remember bubba mentioning alapha-lipoic-acid, Co-Enzyme Q-10, and Acetyl L-Carnitine for brain fog. Have you tried this? LadyC also mentions cumin for brain fog. You can read about it here.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the link and tips, LS! I'm wondering if the brain fog is worsening b/c the creatures are running to a place (my head) where they can escape my increasingly aggressive topical attacks? In addition to the rest of my body, I've been treating my ears, eyes and nose like crazy. Should I start scrubbing my hair/head several times a day? Just wondering ...

I'm not sure of the what or the whys but have definitely had problems spelling for months now. Like you said, the most common words come out spelled incorrectly and I can't come up with the correct spelling to save my soul. At work I type everything in word so I can spell check before I copy and paste into emails. This has really been an issue for me. Thanks for mentioning it, its embarrassing when you think you just can't spell anymore!

This brain fog is really bugging me (sorry) so I just googled "the brain and language functions" to see exactly where the language function is located. Very interesting .... if you're a right-handed person, the language center is on the left side of your brain. A few days ago I had a sudden outbreak of worms/fluid in my left ear (feels like a bad ear infection), and it's also effecting the left side of my face. I'm going to pay extra attention to the external part of that area from now on.

Here's the link -- complete with a diagram of exactly where the language center is located. Hope this helps others, too ...

Yes maryok, I've also had trouble with spelling, dyslexia, I'm just not as thorough with things as I used to be. It does seem to be getting better, I hope that will continue. Keep up your fight! I find that I am dealing with lots of critters that go through more than one life stage right in my living space, and even right in my face.

I remember what one vet told me, talking about trying to control flies where there was lots of poop. Even getting rid of one stops some reproduction --- SO --- masking tape has become my friend, sometimes even my bracelet, any speck I see gets the tape. Those sesame seeds, gone, I even sometimes use the big fat plastic packing tape.

I live in a smaller space, so I can do this without being completely preoccupied. But I also think it will help in my efforts to clear these things out, along with all of the other stuff that needs to be done! Antibiotics seem to have helped at this point.

The brain and sinuses are definitely favorite Morgellons hide-outs, BUT, all of them residing there are obligated to maintain a connection to the outside skin surface of your body as part of their reproduction cycle, so you can kill these brain & sinus Morgies, by cleansing around the orifices that they use to gain access. The eyes, ears, nose, & mouth. That is why the activity level is so high around these areas. They lead to lungs and intestinal tract as well. All great refuges. Treat the exits, and the skin, and you will eventually capture all the players--because they all come up to the surface. It is just a slow, difficult process, and it's not always easy to effectively fully eliminate a large, well established parasite with most topicals.

Other typical forms of simple brain dysfunction, besides misspellings, are achollia(? I'm too lazy to get out my medical dictionary & look up this word for you-all) It is when you repeat a simple word twice , or a phrase, or a phrase like that. Or word drop-out, which we all get when we simply cannot think of the word that we wanted to use. "starts with a C and means really ugly... Oh, I just KNOW I can think of it in a minute!" Or teh famous letter reverasls you get wehn you tpye too fast.

Then there are the various forms of memory loss. Plus forms of spatial disorientation, and loss of directional sense, loss of perceptual cognition to recognize & associate names & faces (especially if watching TV or movies.)

Just remember, until you get lost in your own bedroom in the dark, forget which exit takes you home from the freeway by your house, and have trouble recognizing how to GET back home, and cannot follow a movie plot, because you cannot remember the lead actors' faces from one scene to the next; you have NEVER gotten TRULY brain fogged. and I can promise you with the utmost voice of one who was there, What you have CAN AND WILL PASS. YOUR MIND WILL BE RESTORED TO YOU. I wish I could say 100%, but then, hey, what 50+ year old wouldn't like to have what she used to have???!

I am so sorry redibooks for your loss. I have two dogs that are like family, and they are getting old. So, I know the loss is such great sorrow...I lost one a few years ago and it is painful. My thoughts a prayers are with you and Javier.

God Bless,

jannyjo

well, maryock, i was a true dyslexic as a child. my terrible secret. i hate to tell of it most folks think ones like us are retarded or are misunderstood. but i read at adult level at age 7. see, with me the good and the bad only the best for me. the good and the bad. well i beat the odds with the dyslexia. first off, i am a lefty. second. only one in five dyslexics are female. third, mine was not just backwards d's and b's oh no. see, with dyslexia, trouble with telling left from right other junk like reversal of letters misaligned columns in math and stuff. because neither hemisphere in brain is dominant. well, i have always been a weirdo, lol but a nice one. no mine was MIRROR writing. yeppos all backwards. see what was up on blackboard, looked fine wrote stuff down but always the mirror stuff back then when tranlated it to me writing it on paper. and math column problems too. and other junk. even folded my Christmas cards backwards. yep me good or bad in life i go for whole hog. but lucky,in California and they had good place i went to public school to address this problem. caught early so obvious and all, had extra teacher from kindergarten to help me up till the 6th grade. was so terrible and all, girls with the pretty cursive and all and mine half the time illegible for a time. messier than the boys. terrible. and before high school no set writing style made teachers angry cause sometimes my writing was different sizes and such really made them furious. but was so good at writing, would be lazy do rough draft in pencil turn in same paper written over in pen no flaws get good grades on writing even though teachers knew i did this yes that perfect.thought did on purpose but just the learning disability with different sizes writing and styles. . but corrected finally in high school, and even learned to do calligraphy and stuff. was an artist for a time with drawing and other mediums. but ya know what? my spatial thinking superior as a result of the disability overcome, in past jobs have been cream of crop outperformed others. i actually read big old book to understand dyslexia medical scientific and stuff, was tired of folks thinking misnomers and thinking i was dumb. why my secret. read in that book can involve processing of hearing and the brain. only real remnant i have of it. sometimes i hear sentences spoken but don't process it, and annoys hubbie and other folks. well, if new thing to you, remember we are pumping stations for neurotoxins. morgellons, lymes maybe even babiosis or whatever ails us like that it wishes to break EVERYTHING down. morgellons does not play. it wishes to destroy, to make us passive and weak. so neurological damage is status quo. see, these abnormalities with the brain, even if before sick full blown is a genetic weakness a factor of many which makes us fall ill. we are not nuts just weak or damaged in a way. i truly believe genetics plays a role its one thing makes us open to getting morgellons disease. of course, many other things too. why i think not contagious person to person, like my super doc who knows this stuff well knows. feel confidant with proper treatment , the brain damage and the mental or neurological problems if lucky can be reversed. and hey will say the dyslexics usually have above average intelligence. take heart in this. if recent, a regression but still we have hope. look at how intelligent we are in here, all us sick folks, and take heart. we are sick that's all. but not crazy. we shall one day beat this. what is weird seen few who really dumb have this(morgellons). you are very intelligent. i love your posts and support, and we can have relief, and have hope and can function again. yep my sentence structure still bad. i am a lover of tangents, innuendos and double entendres but hey, i think we have genetic weakness make us open to getting sick with morgellons. hey remember, Steven Hawkins has ALS, yep a withered being but a shining mind. Roosevelt was in wheelchair thanks to polio but he hid it from Americans.. John J. Kennedy had Addison's disease. royal families had hemophilia as a result of too much inbreeding as a mistake of being too zealous to keep royal families bloodlines too pure. do you know what Albert Einstein's 6th grade teacher did? she flunked him thought he was dumb. said he'd never amount to anything. well, obviously she was mistaken.he was bored with the structure of school because of his genius. hey, the flawed folks are the smartest. Galileo was thought bad and dumb for thinking earth round in an accepted flat world theory. we are free thinkers in here not just mindless zombies.it will be okay gosh we will come up with remedy someday the doctors who seek and the scientists and all and aid yes having our brains back important. private message me at any time. i am just mundane housewife, and lousy one at that. a layperson. intelligent but no real credentials. bubba is so smart. but i am just average Joe. all i can offer you is support as sick person like you. that's it. but you have stood up for me, and i admire you. that just my two cents, buy some bubble gum out of a vending machine with it. i hope this helps (LC).

I just love you guys! Thanks so much for all of your info and support.

B/c of the brainfog, I'm at the point right now where I can't even read a magazine (and magazines are my business) -- let alone do work. All I basically do these days is watch Turner Classic Movie Channel (great old movies), nap, google Morgellons for latest info -- and spend a GREAT deal of time on this site. I was feeling really bad last night that I've been posting too much here and that maybe I'm annoying everyone. And that's the last thing I want to do. It's just that this site has become my lifeline over the past few weeks. And when I learn something that has helped me, I've got this huge compulsion to share it with everyone, hoping it might help even one other person.

I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

xoxo Mary
