| I wanted to start a thread to raise our awareness on the many products using News Articles, our own experiments, our everyday usage showing adverse reactions with our lesions, etc. |

| FDA warns against using Clarcon skin products - Yahoo! News "FDA warns against using Clarcon skin products" Mon Jun 8, 9:47 pm ET - an exerpt below: WASHINGTON – The Food and Drug Administration warned consumers Monday not to use skin products made by Clarcon because of high levels of disease-causing bacteria found during a recent inspection. Clarcon Biological Chemistry Laboratory Inc. of Roy, Utah, issued a voluntary recall of some skin sanitizers and skin protectants marketed under several different brand names, the FDA said in a statement. Consumers should not use any Clarcon products and should throw them away, the FDA said. Analyses of several samples of over-the-counter topical antimicrobial skin sanitizer and skin protectant products revealed high levels of various bacteria, including some associated with unsanitary conditions, according to the agency. Some of these bacteria can cause opportunistic infections of the skin and underlying tissues and could result in medical or surgical attention as well as permanent damage. Examples of products that should be discarded include Citrushield Lotion, Dermasentials DermaBarrier, Dermassentials by Clarcon, Antimicrobial Hand Sanitizer, Iron Fist Barrier Hand Treatment, Skin Shield Restaurant, Skin Shield Industrial, Skin Shield Beauty Salon Lotion, Total Skin Care Beauty and Total Skin Care Work. The FDA said its findings, following a recent inspection of the Clarcon facility, are particularly concerning because the products are promoted as antimicrobial agents that claim to treat open wounds and damaged skin and protect against various infectious diseases. The inspection uncovered serious deviations from FDA's Good Manufacturing Practice requirements, the agency said. Calls to Clarcon for comment Monday night were not answered. ___ On the Net: FDA: U S Food and Drug Administration Home Page Clarcon: Clarcon Labs > Home (end quote) (*Note: If you quote a News Article such as I have here, be sure to take excepts from it - they have a habit of disappearing...) | It seems like some of these products above should be alcohol-based, hmmm? a bacteria that isn't phased by alcohol... sounds familiar... We need to look at some of these products on slides or in Petri Dishes to see if they are matching what we've been finding! I'm going to ask that everyone who has a microscope that has the capabilities of taking photos, start helping ALL of us by compling the products that contain bacteria or the already seen Morgie elements and posting them here? We need to come together as a 'team' to figure out what keeps re-contaminating us, I think it's quite massive for one or two people to take on - post microscopic photos of the various products that might be bringing us harm here? Also, give your testimonies - such as a person yesterday that told me about them using sulfur soap and how it made their lesions double and reproduce. Please tell your story here? | 600 eye fungus suits settled by contact maker - More health news- msnbc.com "600 eye fungus suits settled by contact maker Some patients needed cornea transplants, others lost an eye to infections AP updated 3:03 p.m. ET, Sun., May 31, 2009 ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Contact lens maker Bausch & Lomb Inc. had an overriding reason for going private in 2007: It wanted to handle a devastating recall of its flagship lens cleaner, its chief executive said, "without a lot of outside distraction." Over the past year, away from the glare of public scrutiny, the optical products company has quietly settled nearly 600 fungal-infection lawsuits — with dozens more individual claims yet to be resolved. The cost so far: Upward of $250 million. More than 700 lens wearers in the United States and Asia say they were exposed to a potentially blinding infection known as Fusarium keratitis while using ReNu with MoistureLoc, a new-formula multipurpose solution for cleaning, storing and moistening soft contact lenses." |

| Kammy, I have worn soft contact lenses for 10+ years and have used Renu a few times. After getting contacts I've never had an eye infection and I don't get the floaters in my eyes. Do you wear contact lenses? How many of us wear contacts and experience "M" in our eyes? (kritters, poll please!) My "M" friends that experience "floaters" do not wear contacts, and I suggest that they buy a bottle of contact solution (saline) and rinse their eyes with it daily. I hate law suits! itwl, ~jonsi

| [Kabar-indonesia] Asia Health Scare Over P&G Skin Lotions [incl: RI (+Furious Chinese Women)] " consumer scare over the upmarket SK-II lotions began in China earlier this week after the country's quarantine agency said it had found some products contained traces of metallic chemicals chromium and neodymium." Chromium and Neodymium Chromium Chromium - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia "Chromium (pronounced /ˈkroʊmiəm/) is a chemical element which has the symbol Cr and atomic number 24. It is a steely-gray, lustrous, hard metal that takes a high polish and has a high melting point. It is also odourless, tasteless, and malleable. The name of the element is derived from the Greek word "chrōma" (χρωμα), meaning color, because many of its compounds are intensely colored." ![]() (*hmmm? That chunk of rock looks very familiar! Bingo!) Appearance - silvery metallic "P&G said chromium and neodymium were not used as ingredients in SK-II lines but it was investigating whether they might have found their way into the products during the manufacturing process." Chromium acts as a catalyst. (**I believe we are seeing Chromium in Baraka's video, not Mercury!) Neodymium Neodymium - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia "Neodymium (pronounced /ˌniːoʊˈdɪmiəm/) is a chemical element with the symbol Nd and atomic number 60. Neodymium, a rare earth metal, is present in Mischmetal to the extent of about 18%. The metal has a bright, silvery metallic luster; however, as one of the more reactive rare earth (Lanthanide) metals, it quickly oxidizes in air. The oxide layer then falls off, which exposes the metal to further oxidation. Although it belongs to "rare earth metals," neodymium is not rare at all. It constitutes 38 ppm of the Earth’s crust." ![]() (**There's the colors of the rainbow - the coating! We're seeing a mixture of these 2 metals... we need to be tested for these 2 metals!) I used to wear them, but I had the laser surgery. I have contracted some floaters a few months ago, I have a bottle of saline solution... I think I'll start using it! Thanks for the tip - makes sense! This stuff doesn't like salt. |
