Default This tree bothers me- check this pic out

I have seen cotton trees before and as well the seed when it blows off the tree. But check this picture of a seed at:

Kansas State Tree - Cottonwood

You have to scrol 1/2 way down.

We have a huge one in our yard.

This past Sunday was breezy and I could see "the fibers" which we speak about here, and what look just like the longer ones which have come off me blowing out in the wind in our backyard. They are also hanging on the screen door, and I mean long like links of them. We washed ne screen and later on you could tell that nothing came off. The cotton tree is shedding but does not look like the stuff on our doors. The doors look like the fibers of "M".

Roundup has been used in the past around our home and i have t wonder if the whole place is infected. I sprayed the overhead garage dor this morning with a good pro fungi killer. The fibers are there ad on our home also. It isn't spider webs I'm seeing either. It is "them".

Anyone else see the stuff in their yards?

I just read about a similar phenomena somewhere else yesterday. I don't have time right now, sorry. Tomorrow I will see if I can find it. Had to do with "spidery type webs" and I am thinking Oaks because that's what I am surrounded by. Oaks full of Gypsy Moths.. oops another "biological accident" from Harvard Labs about 25 years ago!. I promise to go back and look, just can't do so right now.

I hearrrr the cottonwood WHISPERIN' ABOVE....Tammy, Tammy....Tammy's in Love... The old whootie owl hootie whooo's from above....Tammy, Tammy, Tammy's in love.....

Ahhhhh.....life was so freaking simple then. Gotta love Debbie.

Thanks Posey for letting me finally know what a cottonwood tree is. One more piece to the big puzzle of my life's questions.

But seriously.....this is very interesting. It has the fibers....there is that roundup....who knows what lurks behind closed labs....whether intentional or just negligent.

(Sorry....I'm watching Boston Legal right now and I always get into it and Alan Shore vicariously )

Hi lamb,

I couldn't pull up the last link
http://www.ag.iastate.edu/aginfo/new...s.php?var1=652
Today 07:41 PM you provided so I can't comment on that.

However, I live in "Los Alamos", translation is "The Cottonwoods". mindaproductions : popular photos : Los Alamos (Cottonwood) Canyon and the Rio Grande Valley before the Santa Fe mountains in the background. I've never seen the similarity between the cottonwood seed fiber and the "Morg" spider webs. Totally different from each other. However, I believe that "M" can morph into anything.

In the white light,
~jonsi

ps. haha, no cottonwoods in the photo I linked to, sorry!

Default Hey, I gotta give a "BIG THANK YOU" to all...

...for replying to my post and for all the added information!!

I have to pick my grandson up and take him home in a little while so I won't be able to read all this until I get back.

I am convinced that the same thing which is in me is all around outside where I live. Flying in the air and landing all over. Not only is this stuff outside but our basement lurks of HUGE monsters all over. Being that I did not witness it happening, however, I do wonder if this grows in chain-like links.

Now I don'twant to go out in my yard because there is so much of it I know I'b be breathing it in and wearing it as well. I have already tried the respiration masks for dusting and vacuuming but yo my horror, they too have "the" fibers.

posey

can't wait to get into this when I get back and I do believe in the probability that it all has to do with the spray my husband used for spiders and weeds. his is a year I am not planting flowers.

lamb, I couln't get to get to the site either, I trie ommitting the ... but it idn't work

Hi Posey,

I have a friend who 'creates' the white cotton candy cobwebs as part of her house dust. It appears to be definitely coming from her - as the source - somehow?... Anyone else?

We have viewed it microscopically and it matches her lesion and debris fibers exactly.

Default From her for sure?

We have stuff in our house also and around it outside which I know people here would argue with me, saying that they are spider webs. But...

THEY ARE NOT

There is a definitive difference between spider webs and "M" fibers and/or webs. I've said before that I believe this stuff grows, accumulates or whatever it may be called, in length. They are hanging on both screen doors. We have had so much of this cotton wood that it looked as if it were snowing outside and that's not exaggerating.

I'm not doubting you. I think alot of the stuff I see in our place both in and out (other than the cotton wood) is from Roundup being sprayed around our home in the past and due to Fusarium being in it.

What I see on my screen doors looks exactly like what comes off my face. This stuff seems to be networked in our bodies, similar to spider webs but in a more sporadic pattern.

Hey Posey,
I don't know if I missed it, but did you try looking at the webs with a black light? Do you think they look like any kind of fungus?
