I HAVE THIS FUNNY FEELING, WHAT YOU ARE EXPERIENCEING IS MYCOPLAMA PNEUMONIA. I got it checked because of the positive results of others, now I am positive. It may show lesions on the inside of the lungs!!!!!!!! Very oportunistic disease this is, get a test, I can not say take the antibiotics but what else can a person do!!!

Mycoplasma pneumoniae can be cleared up it says in a month or so with antibiotics so I don't think it's that.... still suspicious about mucor 's involvment tho'...

Kritters - They are both lung infections, but the pathogen is different. Chlamydia is a type of bacteria and Mycoplasma pneumonia is - of course - a type of mycoplasma. Lot's of things can cause pneumonia... SS

Hilly TESTING is the answer to all things, when a certain percentage of us get mycoplasma pneumonia then there is a chance that it can be it. I took what others have been positive with and ran with it. I am still running with it. This time its the doctors ideas, what the hell thats what the insurance is for. I will not treat any of this UNTILL I am sure of the many vectors possible. I do not want to run the risk of agitating one leg of this disease while putting one in hiding, morphing the other and curiing only one. Longevity of treatment and type of antibiotic must be chosen quite carfully if they are used at all. I have developed a deep cough in the chest on that hurts but it comes and goes. Testing is the only way we will ever find all our problems, most likely they are there because of this somthing that is destroying or adapting our bodies to work the way it likes it to. Remember, not thinking is the job of the doctor, we can not afford this, he gets paid not to think, we die! PS I have also had a bad throat since I came back from ASIA, that has been with me all along, never letting up UNLESS I had a severe sore throat with the green and yellow thick flem THEN I would feel free to talk for a short time after. I do believe this infection in the throat is what takes the throid of the woman OUT, the difference between man and womans throat has somthing to do with women having more thyroid problems. The ratio is VERY high for women, just ask around. Last edited by Baraka Obam; May 24th, 2009 at 05:22 PM.

Hi I have had Morgellons like symptoms for over 6 years now. I sometimes get a sore throat especially in the winter. Zinc lozenges with vitamin C helped me (a good quality such as Sisu). Also boost your immune system lots of vitamin C 4 X 1000mg), garlic, lots of rest. Best wishes jade

Kritters - Yes, it is a type of bacteria without a cell wall, seemingly related to fungus. Not having a cell wall changes many of its characteristics, and make it pretty much antibiotic resistant (antibiotics target cell wall synthesis). Many people think of it as a separate entity from either bacteria or fungus. Of course, a lot of people think it was manmade on Plum Island, but it has been recognized since the late 1800's. It's likely been manipulated, like everything else. We're so screwed. SS
