Did Anyone Have Hives As A Child

Hi...one of the questions I was asked at st Johns Hospital at Waterloo by a professor was "did you have hives as a child" trying to be clever so that I did'nt help him I said no, I was lying, every summer I would be covered in what my mother called heat bumps(hives) & would twice daily have them washed in TCP & topped with calamine lotion, proberbly looked like an aborigany doing a war dance, how my lovely mum looked after me, wish she was here wrapping me in cotton wool now....

Just a thought incase others had this, could be a link to the missing gene that I've read about that people with this disease have supposed to lack....only wish I could remember where I saw it!!!

Would'nt it be lovely if they could inject us with the missing gene, not your blue jeans Kritts lol.....Spots....

I never have had hives in my life.
I once had a reaction to sulfa drugs for a bladder infection (I was taking them WAY too long!). That was 35 years ago, and the hive-like reaction resolved as soon as I stopped taking the antibiotic.

Me neither. My skin looks good..it's 'only' on my head. If you would look at me you wouldn't notice at all I'm sick...
